“Hey, what are you doing?” Ryan asks, his voice gummy from sleep. He clears his throat.
There’s a pause before a similarly gummy voice replies, “Uh. Sleeping?”
“Well, don’t… do that here.” Great delivery. He tries again. “I’m literally posted here to make sure no one sleeps under here.”
“You’re doing a terrible job, then.”

Ryan's uncle adopted a stretch of abandoned back road. He does not know why, nor does he know why he's been appointed as the guardian of said road.
Shane just jumped out of a moving car and he's very tired, so he'd like to sleep under this bridge, now.
