Dabi can’t remember his mother’s smile, so he knows at once this isn’t a memory.
He glances down at his own body, his brain distant, detached from it like he’s just settling back into his own flesh and blood for the first time in a long time. No scars, no staples. His skin is ghostly pale, speckled with tawny freckles and fair hair like a soft dusting of snow on his forearms. He hears Hawks’ voice again.
That guy’s file said the Quirk would repeatedly generate visions of alternate realities… Once the hallucinations start he’ll hopefully calm down. Depending on what they show him I guess.
Dabi is hit by a Quirk which shows him visions of alternate realities. Hawks follows him to every one.

Now a hero, Hawks has resigned himself to never experience love, but things get a thousand times more complicated when he has to infiltrate the League of Villains and his instincts suddenly go crazy for Dabi of all people.

The window is open - Hawks can hear the sounds of the busy city thrumming below his penthouse apartment and the cool breeze fluttering the curtains. It feels almost magical to be here, bathed in warmth in the bedroom, only the moon and the low lights either side of the bed illuminating Dabi, staples glinting gold where they catch the light.
He’s so very beautiful when he’s like this, breathing a little harder than usual, sweat making the high points of his cheeks glow. Hawks catches Dabi’s gaze as his fingers brush against his spot and he lets out a breathy moan. Dabi makes the same ‘come hither’ gesture, smirking - Hawks wants to drag him so close that their skin melts together and they become one person. He thinks he’d finally be content, then.
Dabi pulls his fingers out with a sordid, wet squelch and Hawks wants to punch him instead.

“We have a problem.” Satoru announces, slamming into Suguru’s studio two days later. He feels guilty. Like so so guilty.
“That so?” Suguru asks from his bed, lounging in a pair of sweats, his shirt hiked up. He scratches at his happy trail and glances over at Satoru. His demeanor changes instantly at whatever he sees on Satoru’s face. He swings his feet off his low bed, sitting up and leaning forward. “Satoru, what’s wrong?”
Satoru situates himself on the bed next to Suguru, crossing his legs and sitting so they’re facing each other. He meets Suguru’s eyes and cannot speak. Totally blank brain. Suguru touches his knee gently, probably about to say something helpful and kind like take your time or whatever you need.
For some reason, Satoru panics.
“I can’t come.” He announces, much louder than he needs to. “Unless I’m thinking about you.”

After three unanswered texts, Dabi finds himself at Hawks’ apartment. “Hey…Birdie.” he calls out. The lights are out in every room and it’s not even late—maybe he’s not even home. Maybe he’s—and then he sees the lump on the couch.
"Oh," Hawks croaks out dumbly, turning to muffle a cough into the blankets. "Sorry," he pauses to sniffle, "Haven'dt been check'igg mby phone. Thigk it's dead. Gimme uh...a day or two and then I can meet up with you for more intel."
Or: Dabi gets annoyed when Hawks blows him off so he shows up to the hero's apartment to give him a piece of his mind. Except he finds out that it's because Hawks it sick....oh fuck.
