The best Chuck fic in SPN and among the best meta fics I've read. I haven't been in SPN for years, but it was worth it to come back to read this when I came across it. Captures both the hurt and absurdity of wank and the spirit of fandom, and pushes the concept of Chuck Shurley and the canonical SPN fandom to its logical conclusions. I genuinely empathized with watsonian's position, and I loved the haunting way it all circled back around to the beginning in Afterword 4.
I prefer to read it on dreamwidth (linked in fic), where the formatting is a bit better, better mimicking lj and making the fic more seamless.

A refreshing and realistic portrait of Thor's relationship with food on Earth. I think this is the most likely possibility for Thor. Also shows a nice glimpse of all the Avengers through Thor's eyes.

One of the best fics for this pairing that I've ever read.
It doesn't at all shy away from who Krycek is. He's not a good person, but the way that his life is has affected him in many ways and he's kind of messed up. The fic in a great way revolves around that. Also he and Mulder are terrible at communicating with each other, tragically.
In addition to being a great fic, this could practically have been a gift for me, because in addition to the darkly IC Krycek, it hit my id-y kinks. Accidentally interrupted sex with awkward conversation afterwards and BDSM!
The only thing I'd say is that it could have used more Scully - although the author tried to keep her in mind, she got kind of sidelined at times.

Everyone is IC, for good and bad, and the plot and mystery are very clever. Romance is slow to develop, and the fix is Harry-centric, which isn't usually my preference, but the plot is very engaging such that I didn't mind at all.

This is one that stuck with me and was always an idea I wished there was more of (maybe there is, somewhere in all that fic, I hope so). This idea that Ianto and Torchwood Three founded the Time Agency, that, off of that line in Fragments (though this was written before then), the Time Agency was originally based in Cardiff.
Coming back to this so many years later, I can see how Copperbadge's writing has improved since this, and it's not the brilliance I remembered it as, but the ideas are, and it's still precious and the prose is good. -

Heart-breaking and perfect representation of the differences between Thor and Loki - Loki seeing only the worst and believing he is doomed to be evil, while Thor sees the hope. All of the glimpses of different paths are awesome. And open-ended; all those paths only tell us that healing is possible.

Brilliant and painful. To the point that I almost couldn't make it through at times because of my giant issues with personal conflict. But I'm very happy I did and I will continue to force my way through. Because, yeah, this story and this author are that good.
Everyone's fucked up and there's a lot of dancing around issues/introspection. I usually like a more sympathetic, depressed, self-loathing Loki, but I've always had a soft spot for psychopathic tendencies in characters, and Daft does it so well. Her Loki is a bastard and completely irredeemable and a perfect example of how these people draw people to them nonetheless. (Terrible in real life, from experience unfortunately, but interesting in fiction.) And a perfect illustration of how difficult it is to wrap one's head around the uncaring of someone like that (poor Tony :( ) And Loki's development in Can't Help Thinking About Me is just heart-wrenching to watch.
I'm looking forward To All The Madmen, especially with the prospect of more introspection. Also because Daft is even more of a Bowie fan than me and that's a rare treat.

Writing and story is reminiscent of pterry, IC, great plot, and worth overlooking the minor spag errors. Focus on Vimes and Vetinari, but not at the expense of everyone else - the Watch and Wizards and Death and the city itself are prominent, too. Serious and sombre, but not overwhelmingly so, still manages to be light at times, as any Disc story should be.
Nice, slow build and all around great fun; I wish it were longer :) -

but I kind of want it to turn out that he’s playing Hannibal just as hard as Hannibal’s playing him. I’d like to see that as a fic, that turnaround where it’s Will doing the string pulling and Hannibal only realizes it at that very last second… and can’t help but respect how clever it is.

Terrible and so, so beautiful, in the way that Hannibal can be. Mostly just Will in this, but he's so IC for all the darkness. They're both perfectly manipulative, and made for each other. Hannibal is so fond of Will, and the development into love actually manages to be IC. I wish there were more like this.
