“Hm?” He responds, distracted.
Steve opens his eyes, squinting in the late afternoon sun.
“No, ‘Eddie.’ That’s what you’re writing.”

Yeah, it is. Eddie looks down at his finger, the one that’s been operating on autopilot while he’s been lost in his thoughts, and watches as it finishes rounding out the curve of the final e.

Summary
Harrington trails off. His eyes go from Eddie to Davy, standing on the opposite side of the room with his arms crossed over himself. Eddie watches him take in the flush on his cheeks, the spit on his lips. He watches a look of—something cross his face.
Then, just as fast, he watches it disappear.
(Or: Steve walks in on Eddie with a guy. And he can't stop thinking about it.)

"No, I would've remembered this," Richie says, folding his hand around the un-bandaged parts of Eddie's hand. The gold ring glints on his pinky.
Eddie explains how he stabbed himself and Richie nearly dies. His laughter sounds like someone peeling out on fresh blacktop.
"Okay, yeah, hyuck it up, you goofy bitch," Eddie says.
"How many times is that? Four? The universe wants you to be penetrated, Eds," Richie says. "It cannot get enough of you."

Summary
Eddie leans against the van to peer over his shoulder as he connects the leads. He’s close enough that Steve can smell him; close enough that he can feel the shift of air on the side of his neck as Eddie breathes. If it were one of the kids, he’d shove them off and reassert his personal space, but it’s never really bothered him when it’s Eddie. It’s distracting, but Eddie is always kind of distracting. Steve doesn’t mind.
