Suguru pushed him back down onto the bed with a firm hand to the centre of the chest. Surprised by the unexpected roughness, Satoru blinked up at his husband, rubbing at the sore spot on his sternum. Suguru seemed to war with himself for a moment, muscles flexing as he pulled at the hem of his skirt like a nervous schoolgirl. It was the most bizarre thing Satoru had ever seen.
Finally, ‘Then tell me I’m pretty.’
When Suguru brings a new outfit to the bedroom, Satoru learns just how pretty his husband really is.

Gojo looks down at him with a mixture of amusement and suspicion. So it goes between them. Suguru trying to take out one of his luminescent eyes with a throwing star was just a little foreplay.
“Well, well, look what the dead girl dragged in. My favorite detective. How’s it hanging, Suguru? Catch any murderers lately, or are you still taking payoffs?”
Suguru tilts his head back and flicks his bangs out of his face, the ‘fuck you’ just on the tip of his tongue. “Cute coming from the man I’ve accepted payoffs from multiple times,” he replies easily.

“I’m Geto,” he says back. You were Suguru to me, Gojo thinks. “Nice to meet you, Satoru.”
“Nice to meet you, too.” He leans against the wall beside him, tries to look nonchalant as he does. “So, do you come here often?”
Geto thinks Gojo is just a lonely guy who wants friends. Gojo just wants to know if he remembers him, even just a little bit.

Offended, Satoru gapes at her. “He is not just some guy!” he protests.

“No! He's my - he’s my Cinderella!” Satoru wails.
Satoru Gojo thinks there's something familiar about the guy who's started giving him free coffee every time he comes into the shop. He just - can't figure out what it is.

Satoru wants to ask what's wrong, but raises his gaze to Suguru's to find them forehead to forehead, to find Suguru's eyes wide and desperate and pleading and trusting, staring up at him, and his voice leaves him.
"No, please," Suguru croaks, barely audible. "Hold me." He requests, voice smaller than any of him ever is.
God, if the bloody muscle of Satoru's heart was made of anything firmer, it would have cracked. He sinks immediately down further against Suguru, chest to chest, and plenty of the strength of his thrusts has to be sacrificed but Suguru doesn't seem to mind and fuck, neither does he. He breathes: "Suguru," once, broken and surprised,
Then twice, "Suguru," not calling to him for an answer but calling to him in prayer.
Then “Suguru, Suguru, Suguru," a couple more times, because he can't think of any other words.

Or: There are still nights Suguru comes back from missions feeling bits and pieces of that old hopelessness that almost swallowed him once. Satoru's older, now, though, knows how to pick him back up together, how to get him out of his head.
