Summary
Minho brushed his fingers against the hem of Chan’s shirt. “You looked so scared.”
“Was I?”
“You always look scared when you’re about to let something be real.”
Chan didn’t answer. He felt the weight of that too deeply.
Minho’s voice dropped, quieter now. “Are we real?”
Or: 5 times Minho and Chan stay together, and the 1 time they don't

Summary
“You’ll never lose me. I’ll be here.” He tapped two fingers over Minho’s heart again. “You’ll carry me with you, the same way I’ll carry you.”
Minho wanted to argue, to promise that he would find a way to make it different, that love could be stronger than duty. But even as the words formed, he knew they weren’t true. The kingdom was already awakening. The first birds had begun to sing. Reality was creeping back in.
He reached for Jisung one last time, pulling him close until their foreheads touched.
“Then stay until the sun rises,” Minho murmured.
“I will,” Jisung said. “And when it does, you’ll go where you’re meant to go. And I’ll remember that, once, the future king of Levanter loved me enough to want the impossible.”
Or: Prince Minho is in love with Jisung, the Keeper of the East Gate. Prince Minho is arranged to be married to Princess Yuna. Jisung knows he has to say goodbye.

Summary
“You should thank me, darling,” Hyunjin whispered against his ear. “No one else would’ve given you a death this sweet.”
Chan made a strangled noise that wasn’t quite a protest. His legs trembled violently.
“You came to kill a Prince,” Hyunjin said, pace quickening. “And now you’ll only cum for one.”
Or: Chan’s assignment to murder the Crown Prince doesn’t go exactly according to plan.

Summary
Chan reached into his wallet, yanked out an old receipt, and scrawled his number down with a borrowed pen. He shoved it into Jisung's hand.
"Text me. Or call. Or send a carrier pigeon, I don't care. Just... don't let this be the end of it."
Jisung looked at the scrap of paper like it meant something. Then he smiled: a small, hopeful thing.
"You're persistent."
Chan grinned. "You'll learn that about me."
Or: Chan and Jisung between 1990 and 2010.

Summary
He didn’t know, in those first desperate days, what immunity meant; he didn’t understand why strangers chased him with nets and weapons, why people who once begged for help now stared at him like he was a gold vein in a dying mine. But he learned quickly. He learned that immune blood was worth more than food, that the promise of a cure was enough for people to trade anything—including lives. And he learned that the only person in the world he could truly trust was the boy sleeping beside him.
Now, at twenty-two, Chan moved like a shadow through the ruins of the world, never staying anywhere long enough to grow roots. Jeongin, now eight, was always at his side.
Or: Chan has been running for five years, looking after his brother Jeongin and evading the capture of those who find the immune desirable. However, the brothers' lives change when fellow immune Hyunjin joins them on their travels.

Summary
He’s not supposed to notice things like that - the curve of Jooyeon’s mouth, the way his voice lowers when he’s sincere. He tells himself it’s just admiration, pride in a dongsaeng making his way in the industry. Nothing more.
Still, when Jooyeon laughs at one of his jokes, shoulders shaking, eyes crinkling, Chan feels the guilt return, a quiet reminder pressing at the back of his mind. He’s the older one, the leader, the hyung. Really, he should know better than to notice how good the kid looks in the glow of the restaurant lights.

Summary
When Chan opens his eyes, heavy and full with the desire for sleep, he can see a glimpse of the moon outside. It is covered in tiny clouds, surrounding him. Chan would bet, if he could count them now, there would be seven of them. Just like he is surrounded by seven. A blanket for him, made out of body heat, muscles and limbs, draped around and over him ever so lovingly. Chan smiles, closes his eyes and lets out a very heavy breath.
Or:
Chan comes home a few minutes before midnight and his birthday. The Kids are waiting for him.
