Summary
“Glad to see you back among the living,” Phainon says through a yawn, clearly having spent the night in the uncomfortable chair in the infirmary by Mydei’s side. Like he often does.
Mydei’s head hurts. Just the regular kind of pain, easily managed by ignoring it until it goes away. But what makes it worse, is the confusion at his predicament. The memories returning to him in death used to vary in time and people who appeared in them. Why is it always Phainon nowadays?
“Fuck you,” Mydei says, hoarsely. He feels like he is losing his mind.
Phainon’s mouth locks mid-yawn and he blinks down at him stupidly, tilting his head with confusion. It’s probably fair, he hasn’t even done anything to earn Mydei’s ire as of late.

Summary
In no universe should he have to witness Mydei’s hand linger on Phainon’s shoulder for a moment longer than what two friends consider proper, and then watch as Mydei flexes his hand right afterwards, clearly so affected by it. Like something straight out of March’s romance novels.
Seriously, Phainon’s eyes had softened when he looked at Mydei. Multiple times. In public! And here Caelus thought eyes could only soften in Jing Yuan fanfiction.
Dan Heng gives him a look. “Phainon and Mydei are good friends. They’re bound to bicker every once in a while.”
Caelus sits up, wholly indignant. “Have you seen them,” he demands.

Thankfully Tashiro isn't at the point where he can stand on his own, let alone walk, and so when Miyano lets go of his hoodie, he falls to the ground with a grunt and a thud. He suspects that gives him two minutes to grab Kuresawa and go, and so he moves to do just that when a hand closes firmly around his shoulder. He stops, confused as to how Tashiro managed to get up so quickly, but when he turns, it isn't Tashiro standing there. Instead, there's a stranger- a very handsome stranger. He's looking down at Miyano, his expression unreadable, and Miyano shrinks away from him with wide eyes.
"Wh-"
"What's your friend look like? I'll grab him. You keep an eye on that other one."
