Admittedly, this is not the first time Luke has wound up at someone else’s kitchen table in someone else’s clothes. But it’s not breakfast, Luke’s not an undergrad scarfing down bacon and eggs to cure the common hangover, and Din doesn’t strike him as the kind of guy he’d meet at a house party. The baby is definitely a first.
Luke is a grad student trying to finish his linguistics PhD after an unexpected leave of absence. His neighbor, Din, is a single dad and delivery guy at Pizza Parsec.

Damian shifts in response, and his eyes flit anywhere but at Dick. Dick sighs. “I’m not mad,” he simply says and Damian’s eyes are back on him. “I just — I just want to know why you did it.”
If anything, Dick is proud. Damian’s only been his Robin for five months and he’s already taking the risk to take hits for his Batman — they’ve come so far since their first patrol.
Damian hesitates to speak, and Dick sighs again. He opens his mouth to say something else but Damian gets his words out quickly. “Gotham needs Batman,” he declares as if that’s the only explanation. He points at his shoulder. “It would’ve hit your torso, where all the vital organs are.”
