But Giorno has a dream, and it brings him to Pompeii's Ampitheatre, only he doesn't expect his life to become impossibly entwined with Mista's.

A slowburn fic between Kurapika and Reader. You've been sent to live with your partially present father in Yorknew as a punishment for failing your exams. To earn your keep, you've been implored to help him run his expansive property business, where you act as a land-lady for a practically dilapidated apartment block in the slums of the illusive city. Amongst the many interesting tenants you anxiously watch over, a ruggedly ethereal man teetering on the edge of composure causes trouble, staggering into the building, disheveled, keyless, and covered in blood. Kurapika. Upon your living out your new life in the city, you find yourself drawn to this mysterious, and weirdly sexy man, but soon you find yourself entangled in danger far beyond your comprehension, and your life takes a sharp 180. But perhaps you should have thought about that before perusing the man as, after all, didn't curiosity kill the cat?

When he tilted his head to get a better look at him, Giorno looked tired. Very tired. And when his eyes darted down towards their interlocked hands, Mista had the thought that maybe Giorno needed the contact even more than he did.
So, he said, “Yeah. It’s okay.”
