Shane and Ilya had mutually agreed to keep their whatever-they’re-doing out of Sochi. It was an easy decision to make: this was bigger than any MLH rivalry and definitely bigger than a few hotel hook-ups. There was no room for distractions, not with Olympic gold on the line.
So it’d be really fucking great if their daemons could get on the same page and stop trying to cause an international fucking incident.

The Swiss National League doesn’t care about the legendary Hollander-Rozanov rivalry. When the MLH can’t negotiate with the Hockey Players’ Union in time to prevent a hockey lockout at the start of the 2015 season, the Zürich Lions jump at the chance to sign both Shane and Ilya to short-term contracts. For four months in Switzerland, they share a team, a line, a house, and a bed.
Then the lockout ends in January, and it’s time to go back. Back to different countries, cities, lives. Beds.

OVERVIEW
Ilya’s family and their current peace with the angels was tenuous at best and yet his father just agreed to take on a ward from their biggest rival. “This will be the olive branch that will protect our peace,” he said. His middle brother had already left to be the reciprocal ward with the angels. His father reasoned that Ilya’s skills kept the family safe, so he must stay. He knew, deep down, he wasn't important enough to be traded.In return they’d get an archangels son, Shane. Fuck.
