He promised he’d never forget.
Tomioka feels the weight of that promise in the last of the autumn leaves. It's evident in the weathered fences of old houses and it briefly feels like nothing’s changed as it manifests in the dull squeeze in his lungs and the goosebumps that prickle his arms. He wanted to be fourteen again. He wanted to be naive and innocent, sneaking out of the house and roaming through the neighborhood with the sunrise.
He never wanted to leave in the first place.

Summary
Muichiro went into a strange panic, almost seeing the purple hood as a vest over a type of uniform, slashes at the back. It wasn’t his first moment of deja vu, however, he hadn’t ever felt it that strongly before. He grabbed the man’s wrist with all his strength so he’d stay.
“Listen, you don’t have to know anything about modeling or art. I like your style and body type, and my intuition is telling me you’re perfect for what I need. I don’t have a lot of my own money right now, but I’ll pay you what I can, with free food and drinks, too.”
His eyes widened with a realization. “Oh crap, you’re Zenitsu’s neighbor…”
Muichiro was numb to phrases like that because they were usually said with a sneer, or disgust or terror, as if he owned a house that would steal and slaughter children. But this guy said it more curiously, a barely noticeable gasp leaving his mouth before he suddenly flustered and took his hands back to try and cover his coloring face.

Summary
Tanjiro gulped and begged himself not to cough from his own spit. He truly wasn’t a shallow person. Appearances meant nothing if the personality was horrible, and convincing flirtations from someone who seemed kind didn’t mean anything unless Tanjiro knew who that person was outside of watchful eyes. He had two whole small crushes in his entire life: the adopted grandson of his neighbor because he was young and thought Giyuu was the coolest, but it only turned out to be admiration as he let Giyuu treat him like a younger brother; the other was when he had to help the transfer student in 10th grade, thinking Kanao was adorable and thoughtful, which was half-wrong. She was adorable with her quiet smiles and butterfly hair tie, but she was an overthinker, and Tanjiro had to look after her in a way that was eerily similar to how he watched after Nezuko.
This was just going to be another one of those easy crushes. Just because Kyojuro was flirty and boisterous and clearly responsible didn’t mean he was compatible enough to be the love of Tanjiro’s life. Kyojuro probably acted like this with everyone! Tanjiro certainly wasn’t the only one he tried to romance like this. If it was romancing at all.

Summary
It's been around a year since Sabito and Giyuu, the water pillars, disappeared without a trace. Nobody knows where they died, or where they are if they happen to be alive. Sanemi gets a mission assigned near an extremely snowy, mountainous village, where the residents claim they don't want him to kill whatever it is that's been "protecting them" by eating criminals. Sanemi still investigates to see what kind of demon only eats bad people, but he ends up getting stuck up in the mountains in a blinding snow storm. When he thinks he just finds a cabin for shelter, it seems he also uncovers the answers to two big questions.

Tanjirou, Genya's friend, flutters around the two brothers, hands out and gingerly attempting to deescalate the situation.

In which Giyuu remembers his past life, centuries ago, blade and blood. Under a blue moon, wisteria blooming, where Sabito and Sanemi were both his lovers.

Johnny softened as his hand stroked around to Simon's front feeling the taut skin of his abdomen, "You also never took an expiramental drug to stop it before," Johnny whispered, gently guiding Simon to turn over to face him so he could get a proper look at him, "Looks like it was a bust and you're still one of the fabled Easter bunnies," he said, his voice light as he tried to lighten the situation with some humor.

Trees and the snow-covered countryside passed in a blur as Simon drove down the backroads, the windshield wipers moving at a quick pace to clear away the snow landing on the car windshield. Johnny was staring out the passenger window, watching the countryside pass them by, gently biting at his lip, "Are you sure they won't mind?" he asked, refusing to move his eyes from the thin streaks of water on the glass from the snow, "I don't want to be a burden on your mother."
Simon glanced over at Johnny and softly sighed as he reached over to put a gentle, reassuring hand on his thigh as he came to a stop at an intersection. Keeping his eyes on the light, he replied, "My mother is going to love having us."
