Summary
This work is based on "Darkest Before The Dawn" by sweetcrude89. Prequel Recap: Barisi are kidnapped by mobsters, brutalized, and sexually assaulted. Barba by far got the worst of it. At one point their captors forced Carisi to rape Barba or they both would die. The story left off with Rafael on his deathbed beginning to wake up.
REVISED: Goes Beyond just being a Sequel to the "Darkest Before the Dawn" This is now a Barisi SVU NOVEL. Focuses on the private lives & relationships of DA Rafael Barba & Sonny Carisi and Nick Amaro & George Huang.
This work is about the long road to emotional recovery of sexual assault & navigating personal relationships & life's challenges.
Returning characters include former detectives, defense attorneys, & judges.Crossover Notes: CM starts at Ch. 98 with guest appearances of Garcia, then the entire BAU in Ch. 104 and then some random appearances. Reid, Hotch, & Prentiss become primary characters in the Ch. 200s. L&O Criminal Intent characters enter off and on from Ch.283
