Summary
This was just Hakoda’s luck, on the run with three children he’d vowed to himself to take to safety—wherever that may be—and they just happened to run into the Dragon of the West.
Unsheathing the knife—his only weapon, of course he had nothing but a measly knife while facing the Dragon of the West—Hakoda stepped forward to stand between the children and the enemy. Like he should have when they’d come to the South Pole and threatened his family.
Never give up without a fight. Not that he needed the blade’s inscription to tell him that.
After escaping from the Western Air Temple, Hakoda is lost in a forest with three Earth Kingdom kids. Thirsty, tired, and struggling to cope with the effects of his prison stay, the last thing he needs is getting kidnapped by an ancient secret society.
But Iroh’s plans to have the Avatar kill the Fire Lord are outrageous, and Hakoda takes issue. Now he has to put up with his mother’s ex and a gloomy firebender while parenting three wayward children, rescuing his crew from prison, and defeating Ozai. Which would be enough to deal with even if the wounds of the past didn’t have a habit of bleeding into the present.

Summary
Combustion Man never finds the Western Air Temple, and the Gaang goes ahead with the plan to capture Zuko and hold him prisoner so he can’t hurt anyone. Now Zuko has to convince them he’s on their side without having any proof he doesn’t want the Avatar dead anymore, and preferably before Katara decides to kill him.
… If only he weren’t so bad at being good.

Summary
Hakoda eyes her warily. “Why are you telling me this?”
Because Suki is desperate for someone she can rely on, for someone who won’t stab her in the back, and he seems like a person who won’t be able to get on the guards’ good side no matter what he does, and also—“I have friends in the Water Tribe. They wouldn’t want you to have a harder time than necessary.” He reminds her of Sokka, and she misses Sokka with an intensity that hurts.

A spin-off to my longer fic “Fuel to the Fire”, but can be read as a standalone, just imagine Sokka doesn’t come to the Boiling Rock when he does in the original.Series

Summary
Aang, Katara, and Toph are worried. Air, fire, water, earth—none of their bending is acting right, and it only seems to be getting worse, not better. They’re determined to get to the bottom of it, whether it’s a Spirit imbalance or energybending gone wrong or something else entirely.
Sokka thinks the explanation might be a little more mundane than that. He just needs to do a little research first to confirm it. Good thing the International Summit means there are plenty of people around who might have the answers.
OR,
Aang, Katara, and Toph’s bending is changing in ways they can’t control or anticipate, in ways they’ve never experienced before. Sokka thinks it sounds pretty familiar.

Sokka and Suki research puberty effects on bending by interviewing a bunch of benders from all nations about their sex lives. Yes, it's as funny as it sounds.

Summary
Assumed dead after his banishment, Zuko takes up The Blue Spirit mask. No one has seen his face in three years, and he won't let them. It's safer this way, being alone. After a Fire Nation general hires him to bring in Hakoda for questioning, he fails the job miserably and ends up a captive of the Water Tribe. When Sokka is employed by Iroh to track down Zuko and find out if he is still alive, The Blue Spirit claims that Zuko is in fact dead, and in a fit of panic, that he was the one who killed him.

Summary
Zuko and Azula show up at Boiling Rock to free Mai and Ty Lee. Suki and Hakoda are a bit of a surprise.
Especially Hakoda. They haven’t seen each other since, well—since the first time it was Zuko who was the prisoner.
