Clark Kent, investigative journalist and alien protector, was convinced Bruce Wayne’s friendship with Batman meant something more - maybe funding, maybe shared secrets. The problem? Bruce knew Clark’s game, and he was going to play it better. When a gala-turned-villain-attack forced Bruce to act in his Wayne persona and Superman swooped in to save him, the lines between charm and suspicion blurred.
