Summary
Dr Spencer Reid died 9 years ago, in a case gone wrong. He was Gideon's prodigy agent and was heading towards a fantastic career within the bureau. Instead, he ended up buried at the age of 23. Unable to come to terms with his sudden death and unfinished life, Reid still roams the halls of the FBI building, unseen and unnoticed. That is until a spiritual and already death-crossed Garcia stumbles upon him, and in her haste doesn't question the young doctor's presence. Her unmoving belief in Reid allows her not only to touch him but to open the eyes of others. The young doctor is soon dragged right back into the arms of the BAU, nursing the secret of what he is and trying to avoid questions of why Rossi, one of his colleagues, never seems to acknowledge him.

A beat of silence as Peter blinked at him.
