All our fault?
It's Aemond's fault. Overwhelmingly so. Luke has to know that, meaning he's either being generous or underhanded. (But Luke has got to be one of the most unsubtle people Aemond has ever known.)
In which those who've died on dragonback are cursed/blessed to wander the world in a strange sort of limbo state, with only their dragons, and each other, for company.

Luke chokes on his drink, then narrows his eyes for a proper look, and yup, sure enough, Aemond isn't joking. His one remaining pupil is all wide and glossy. His neck and shoulders look like they've gone stiff. Acid. "Dude what the fuck," Luke hisses. And then, "Wait, why are you telling me? Are you– are you like– freaking out, or—?"
"A little, yeah."
"Oh my god."
(In which ballerina-Aemond has become choreographer-Alys's favorite chew toy, and Luke is baffled by the results.)

He knows well enough by now. She must, too. Still, she tries to make herself as small and quiet as she can manage, groveling in the way she imagines comes naturally to all humans, and yet the soft growling persists. The twitching of the shoulders, trying to flex her non-existent wings. Drop the farce already, I know it's you, Luke nearly says to her. He kneels down instead.

The High Valyrian language is technically an a posteriori artlang based on words and ideas that come from George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, but the language is probably better understood as a priori with some input from a second author.

It's the homecoming game and Kate just wants it all to go well. So of course this is the weekend Maddy, their otherwise infallible head cheerleader, goes off her blockers and into full heat.
But that's all right! Kate's team always has her back. And her front. And . . . well, all the other parts of her, since they've decided it falls to Kate to take the edge off Maddy's heat in order to get on with the game.
Kate's not exactly sure about this, but she's a team player, so she's willing to give it a shot.

Jace looks down at Rickon, grinning when he finds his eyes closed, his little mouth open in slumber. A little triumphant pang shoots through his chest.
“Holy fuck. How did you do that?” Jace turns to find Cregan standing in the hall, staring. His hair is tousled like he’s been freshly scrubbing at it, his eyes red like he’s been crying. His voice is thick like he has been, too. Relief slackens his features as he takes in Rickon, limp and asleep in Jace’s arms.
Jace chuckles. “I told you, I have five younger siblings. I have my ways.”

Jace visits his classmate's apartment for a quiet study session (Not a study date. Definitely not a study date.) But what he finds is a very sleepless teething baby and Cregan at his wit's end.
And after Jace - magical, perfect Jace - manages to not only calm his son but Cregan as well, (twice, and very expertly and very hotly), Cregan faces the reality that this is more than just a study date. And it's time to go on a real one.
