The hideous beast simply stares up at him with its wide set eyes and floppy tongue. A long stretch of drool seeps out, and Alastor moves his shoe to avoid it.
Then it gives its head a shake and renders Alastor’s due caution entirely pointless.
He wipes the slimy spittle off his pantleg with a grimace.
Vox, meanwhile, speaks at it in a sickeningly sweet coo. “Aw, are you trying to say hello to Alastor? Such a good boy, yes you are, yes you are.”---------------

Summary
Alastor is none too happy about Vox calling him a coward on live TV. Especially since they have history together. So the radio demon pays his old pal a visit to remind him who’s really in charge. Vox doesn’t seem to mind though, past rejection aside he’s not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Though he might let his own mouth run off a bit. Nothing like good banter and even better sex.
Both Alastor and Vox are trans. Their bodies are referred to using masculine terms.

Tony froze. "No, we're not."
"Oh yes we are." Jim tossed three tuxedos onto the bed. Three was a good number of options, enough for Tony to make a choice, but not so many that he'd get lost analyzing the ramifications of navy pinstripes vs. charcoal paisley. Tony did best with clear, specific expectations rather than an unlimited universe of possibilities that he would inevitably filter through his neuroses and obsess over, and Jim was really kicking himself for not considering that, oh, ten years ago when they’d first started this, but there was no point in beating himself up about it now when he could put that energy towards solving the problem instead. "You brought this on yourself, Tones. Pick a damn tux."
