Ed’s heart jumped into his throat. “Ed, it’s me. Uh, Stede.”
Ed wasn’t sure which part of this was most unlikely: that Stede Bonnet had come to get him out of prison instead of staying where he belonged with his fancy house and fancy wife, or that Stede Bonnet was working together with Izzy.
