“Eric” Dele’s voice fell rough and tired between the wrinkled covers, his first words of the day pushed tiredly from his lips.
He let out a small sigh and pressed his lips together, swallowed thickly through the dry of his mouth. His body was tied down into the weight of sleep still, bundled on his side with this shoulders curled in, his hands tucked up near his chest, one of Eric’s resting between them, fingers caught up.
His boyfriend’s body was solid weight behind him, warm with sleep and heavily where his arm was laid over him, anchoring him to his body. It was almost too hot, the morning sun sharp through gaps of the curtains, heating the sheets where it dappled over it.
“Eric” Dele muttered again, a heavy exhale through his nose and twisted his hips down, away from Eric and into the mattress, away from the hot press from between Eric’s legs against his arse.

“Now just stay still. Just stay still and do not speak to me” Dele spat out, but made no move to climb off Eric’s lap. It was easier to clean the wound this way anyway. He reached his free hand to scrub hastily over his eyes, trying to push away the tears giving away his heart.
