Roach makes his dramatic return from being taken prisoner by Makarov following Shepherd's betrayal. Soap finds himself torn while trying to help his newfound battle buddy and their Lieutenant heal from the traumatic events they endured. On one hand, wants to offer nothing but love and support. On the other, he's hurting in his own way. Unbeknownst to Soap, he's fallen hard for them both, and the way they look at each other rips his heart from his chest. As their relationships develop, he uncovers the secrets of his lovers' past lives.

After breaking his ankle while tagging along with the 141 on a mission in Russia, Keegan was shipped back stateside to rest in the confines of his empty childhood home. Despite recovering physically, he never felt worse--plagued by memories as the dressing on old wounds unraveled and new ones appeared.
Worst of all, he missed Roach. He longed to hear the safe, rhythmic beat of Roach's heart. Just to be sure.
Unfortunately, while Keegan saved the man from frostbite, only time might heal the traumatic brain injury that flipped Roach's life on its head. If only Keegan could fly back to Britain and help...

König was a hulking, deadly force on the battlefield; a private mercenary highly sought for his ability to slay enemies without remorse. His contract was bought by SpecGru, willing to take him on for their fight in Kazakhstan despite his past.
He hated changing contracts. Each move separated him from a team just as he began to ease into it and refute his reputation as some bumbling fool used as a weapon. Each move was another level of abstraction from where, from who he wanted to be. He feared his time with the 141 would be no different, which seemingly held true as he struggled to connect with the taskforce.
With everyone except Roach.

Summary
After a shitshow of a mission spanning hours in the Siberian permafrost, the taskforce passed out in the back of their evac truck. Everyone except Ghost and Roach.
They never got time alone like this. That's probably for the best. It's how they ended up plastered in a bar the next evening, stuffed in the back of a taxi, holding each other the subsequent morning in a safe house bedroom.
For once in his life, the lieutenant is petrified. They're treading on thin ice--love in the military is a dangerous gamble to make.
*Smut in the second chapter, although it isn't the point of this work (that's just how it ended up lol). Plot with a paragraph or two of vaguely detailed porn. Roach's body is described ambiguously enough so you can imagine him as trans or cis as you please.*

He grew disillusioned with the taskforce, yet remained horrified by the fact that he'd only suffer in civilian life. With nowhere to go and no desire to stay, there only seemed to be one way out.

Howdy! 🤠 This is an old oneshot I wrote way back when Ren was actually building Giga Jack's. I was really feeling Welsknight’s sleeping-for-months arc at that point with work/college happening lol.
TW: gore mention! There's no actual injury, but a basic health check after Wels collapses and some mildly gross descriptions of what he looks like sleep deprived.
As always, this is about the characters--not the content creators themselves!
