Summary
John's grief was written in the lines of his body like a textbook on lost love, and Sherlock felt his own heart break even further for the man he loved. No one should have to endure such a thing. John deserved the world and then some, not the lies and danger posed by the woman who wore his ring.
Sherlock wished more than anything that he could let John stay, make him stay here where he would be safe. He wished they could order Chinese and remain pressed close to one another's side as the world around them disappeared. He wished he could shield John from the person he had chosen, because that choice now posed a threat. He wished John could forget her very name.
But John wants her.
And that was the truth at the heart of the matter. What Sherlock craved and wished for the man he loved was totally eclipsed by that man's wishes and desires for his own life — and Sherlock would have it no other way. He would be damned before he let John Watson be with someone who didn't make him happy.
Mary made him happy; the evidence showed it. John chose her. Those are the facts.

Sherlock had an idea — a very bad idea, he was sure, but alcohol had a way of making bad ideas happen, did it not? Besides, it was for an experiment.
His mind made up, Sherlock forced himself to look back at John who was now leant against the back of the sofa and watching Sherlock with a soft smile. The detective swallowed thickly. "I dare you..." Sherlock began, his heart pounding a little harder than usual, "To pretend like you're in love with me for one day."
John would refuse, of course.

“Just the two of us against the rest of the world." That was what Sherlock had offered John the day he came back from the dead. John had punched his lights out because he was right pissed at Sherlock for leaving him, for making John have to learn how to face the rest of the world without the only person who made John feel that he had a place in it.
And then he came back. He came back, and he asked John to jump right back into the fray, to the blood pumping in his veins, feet pounding on cobblestones and walking canes long forgotten. He asked that it be just the two of them against the rest of the world again.
And John had punched him. Not because he didn't want it. Not at all. It was because John had wanted that exact thing, so badly, every day for two years. John had wanted nothing more than for them to just be... them. For as long as Sherlock would let him, John wanted to stay.
So what changed? Bloody fucking everything. And now it's too late.———

This time, Dean didn't bother with a greeting. Once his eyes were open and his limbs were upright, he ignored the tightness in his chest to ask, "That dickbag Uriel know you're here?"
Castiel didn't say a word as Dean got out of bed and threw on his jacket. He just hovered like he always did, perched and waiting, and Dean made a face at him as he fixed his collar and went to fetch his boots by the door.
"No, and I would suggest you keep this between us," Cas said carefully.
Dean laughed. "Yeah, I bet you do."
Or, when Castiel raises Dean from Hell, his handprint bestows them with an accidental bond, and what starts as a decision to help Dean through his Hell nightmares, becomes an attachment neither of them is willing to break.

“Top or bottom?” Dean asked.
Castiel didn't look up from his suitcase. “Top,” he said.
Dean nodded and tossed his sleep equipment onto the bottom bunk.
Castiel looked up, eyebrows creased. “Oh, you meant bunks? Bottom, please.”
Dean paused. He frowned loudly and threw a questioning look at his bunkmate.
Castiel had turned his back to him and was rooting through his bag. He pulled out a striped fitted sheet and moved to put it on the bottom bunk.
“What,” Dean said suspiciously, making the question sound more like a statement.
“Bottom, Dean. That is, if you don't mind,” he answered, unfolding the sheet.
Dean nodded warily, eyes narrowed.
“O... kay. I'll take the top.”
Dean couldn't be sure, but he thought he heard the other man snort quietly.

Summary
With Sam nearly healed up from the bad after effects of the failed third trial, Dean takes off to Colorado to find Cas— now human and utterly hopeless of ever returning back to Heaven, and bring him back to the bunker where he belongs. Permanently.
Or, Sam never has to get possessed by Gadreel after failing to close the gates of Hell, therefore Dean makes a move on human Cas like he would have smh.

Summary

At first, Dean laughs it off, swears the angel’s just confused, or maybe trying to be sentimental with the world ending and all. But then Cas says it again. Dead serious. Blue eyes smoldering. No shame. No hesitation. Just a quiet, sincere request to let Dean be his first—and maybe, his only.
And Dean? He’s definitely on board. Too on board.
He’s not sure what’s more terrifying—the impending end of humanity, or how badly he wants this. Wants him.
Because when an angel says he wants you, body and soul… how the hell are you supposed to say no?
