Plagg’s glowing green eye slits open. “You’re finally gonna tell Dip Dye how you feel?”
Adrien’s face goes hot. “Not that,” he says, shoving aside the sudden squirminess in his stomach. “We have to figure out how to get Marinette and Ladybug together.”
Plagg’s ears perk up. “Marinette...and Ladybug?”
“Yeah, are you even listening? Marinette told me she’s into Ladybug. And I know Ladybug! I can set them up!”
Plagg says chokes down giggles. “Marinette said she likes Lady- Lady- LadybAHAHAHA!”
Adrien scrubs his hands through his hair. “What’s so funny about it!”

Adrien Agreste holds his hand in front of his face, squinting up at her. “Ladybug?”
“Ad—um—citizen?” Good save, totally not suspicious. It’s not as if she’s met him in the suit on several memorable occasions.
“Hi,” he breathes.
“What are you doing here!”
He’s sitting in one of the garden’s metal chairs. By himself. At night. In the pitch black dark.
“Just enjoying the park,” he says. “What about you?”
“Well.” She stares at him. “Yeah. Me too.”

Summary
Ladybug had tempered her expectations. She figured it’d be awkward, requiring lots of course correction, maybe a bit of demonstration, no matter how well they usually clicked. Nothing they couldn’t work around and improve. Definitely nothing that would leave her melting into the mattress, clutching at the sheets to keep the feeling of it from burning her up, unable to think past wanting.
