Summary
Set in medieval/magical world and Thomas is King. Roman was born a simple peasant, but always dreamed of being a dashing prince. Since he doesn't have an ounce of royal blood in him the closest thing he can get to a prince is to become a Royal Knight, so he does and, eventually, becomes King Thomas' most trusted knight and close friend. One day while out wandering the woods Roman stumbles upon a suspicious looking man with yellow eyes and scales who compliments Roman, singing his praises and promising him all of his wildest hopes and dreams.
"You can be royal too, rule your very own kingdom."
"...I'll be a prince?"

Summary
The window is pushed up higher and clicks into place and doesn't fall when he lets it go. Now perching on the windowsill like a bird, he smiles as he pushed himself forward off the window, falling for a split second before the wind swirls around his body and lifts him up into the cold nights sky. John grin as he spins around and then darts up into the dark clouds. He feels the moisture slowly soaking him like a cold shower and it feels amazing. The wind was just right so it wasn't shoving his hair all over the place. It was peaceful. Looking down, it was a spectacular aerial view of the city. The city was lit up by lights from signs and buildings, it was just as beautiful was if he were sitting on his roof gazing at the stars. Johns grin doesn't break for one second, this was probably one of the best things that has ever happened to him.

Loud angry voices echoed from the living room, down the hallway and into a dark room filled with stuffed bunnies, dolls, toy blocks and one little girl curled up in a princess bed. She had her pillow over her head to try to muffle the sounds but it did little good. She knew it. This wasn't the first time she had to try to muffle the noise.

Lying is wrong. With some rare exceptions. As Morality, it is Patton’s job to determine what those are. But when he makes a decision to tell a lie of his own, he realizes the burden he’s trying to carry might just be too heavy for him to bear alone. But he can’t let the others know what really happened when Deceit took his place...that truth is too horrible for anyone but himself to know. Or at least, that’s what he believes. But belief doesn’t always translate to reality.

Anxiety wasn’t sure the other ‘dark’ sides had really thought it through when they’d decided to leave him home alone for a week while they did whatever it was they were doing. Not that he didn’t want to be- having the house to himself was great- but it was stressful being responsible for everything that needed to get done around here until they came back.
Like, for example, right now he had the responsibility of taking food down to their prisoner, who he’d never even gone near before. Morality. The others said he was dangerous, incredibly powerful without the suppressing chains they had him in. He was the one who put them here, in this house on the outskirts of the mind where it was always night, the one who had banished them to the darkness. He hated them all, apparently, and Anxiety was just a little terrified of him. Deceit had captured him somehow a few months ago, and he’d been locked in the basement ever since, supposedly so they could keep him from locking them out of the mind entirely, and Anxiety had been warned not to go down there. And now, for some reason, they were entrusting all this to him. He wondered if he’d done something to offend Malice recently.
