Soulmate au where everyone has a red string of fate. This string will lead you to your purpose/soulmate. Sometimes it can break or change and it will take time but eventually you will be where you need to be.
All humans have a string that only they see. It starts on their ring finger and continues into the distance.
Angels don’t have a string. They’re created with their proposes already known. Samael knew his position in the Silver City.
But Lucifer didn’t. He found his string and followed it Down.
It will eventually lead him to Chloe.

Summary
There will always be ship-haters. Watching TV shows and interpreting fictional relationships is entirely objective, and you're allowed to have your own opinions. However, what's silly is to state a claim with the weakest evidence to support it. I've watched the show possibly 20+ times over, so I know these characters by heart. Yet, even a newer fan could refute these claims, just by thoroughly watching the show once. Each piece of so-called evidence the author provided has been officially disproved in the show. Or you can use the clues provided in the show's writing to come to the implied conclusions yourself. Writing an article about why Lucifer and Chloe shouldn't be together is ridiculous, mainly because I have much more evidence to prove the opposite.
Or, I wrote 4000+ words on why Deckerstar are meant for each other because an article pissed me off.

Simone has been in education as a paraprofessional for years at this point. He's gotten used to the routine. That includes summer work like summer school, crosswalk, painting classrooms, and doing other menial tasks for staff on campus for some extra money over break. So when some hotshot new teacher shows up and tells admin that his and Ava's help isn't needed to paint their room, robbing both of extra work hours, he's a little annoyed. Unfortunately, it's hard to stay mad at someone when they're one of the few teachers to understand your work. Maybe she wouldn't be the worst clueless newbie to stroll through the gates.
Doctor Rylee Grace has finally earned their teaching credentials, and the upcoming year will be her first as a solo eighth grade science teacher. Pro?: she finally has her own classroom she can decorate and set up as she wants. Con?: they appear to have rubbed some of the staff the wrong way. Pro?: one of the paras is cute and kind and also butch (and just her type). Con?: said para is completely oblivious to the effect he has on Rylee. His friend, however, seems to not like her much.

Summary
Footsteps and shuffling outside the door break Grace out of the uneasy doze he’d fallen into after being shoved into the cell. If he’d known he was going to be detained, he never would have steered the Hail Mary toward the mysterious cobbled-together-looking station hanging in loose orbit above the tiny dark planet.
Blinking to bring himself to full alertness, he stares dully forward as bodies approach. He knows by now that he can't understand these people. What's the point in saying anything?
“Hey,” a voice says, low and rough. It’s a new voice, different from the ones who chased him down and threw him in a cell. Grace ignores it. So they're mimicking him now? Great.
The new person clears their throat, then coughs like it was painful. He hears them muttering something, and a more familiar voice – one of the guards – growls back. Grace listens with everything he has, tuning all the xenolinguistic skills he's learned working with Rocky into the problem, and he still can't tell what the heck they're saying.
“Hey,” the new voice says again. “Ai, uh...ai herdjer talkin' oldstyle.”
“...What?” Grace tumbles to his feet and stumbles forward. “What did you say?”

Summary
Grace has come to terms with the fact that he will never see another human or Earth again. And that's okay, because he's happy on Erid with Rocky and Adrian. However, with the Hail Mary in mint condition, the Eridians propose that he travels to a red moon in a planetary system with a dead sun, along with Adrian and Rocky, to determine just why it's so...weird. The answer's no. Obviously.
Until they hear a human distress signal coming from that exact moon, and suddenly everything changes.
