Summary
|| It's only when he turns around to head out of the bathroom that he finally spots what his spider-sense had been warning him about. As he turns around, he finds a man standing there. A see-through man, but a man nonetheless. Peter yelps, stumbling back and almost falling back into the sink. He barely manages to catch himself on the edge of the counter as he looks up at the man with wide eyes.
"What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost, darlin'." He drawls, and his southern accent almost makes Peter swoon. Almost. Because he's better than that. Not much. But better.
OR: a parkner fic where Harley is dead and Peter just so happens to move into the apartment he is haunting.

|| "'M not suggesting shit, darlin'." Harley murmurs, letting his hand fall back down to the floor. Peter is quick to grab the fallen hand, pulling it into his lap and squeezing it with enough force to make Harley wince. "But what I am saying is that you've just been on patrol. For four hours. And I know you haven't eaten since lunch."
And Peter wishes he could disagree. Really. He would do anything to be able to. But Harley is right, as usual. Because he hadn't eaten since lunch. And lunch was six hours ago.
"You are suggesting something, Harley." Peter hisses, narrowing his eyes at Harley. The anger he tries to put into the look is weak at best. "And-" He swallows again, biting down on his bottom lip to get the sweet taste of blood on his tongue without having to eat Harley. It doesn't work as well as he hopes it would. "And I'm not sure how to feel about what you're suggesting."
OR: Peter eats Harley. In a cannibalism way, not in like, a sexual way. They're both into it.

Summary
|| If Harley is a fly then Rose Hill is a jar filled with fly spray. He will fly around the jar until the day he dies and is nothing but a twitching body on the bottom of the jar. But at least in Rose Hill, people know who he is. Even if all they know him for is for being the gay kid in town, they know him. Even if they only pay attention to him to beat him up or to stay away from him, they know who he is.
When he's in New York, no one really knows who he is. In New York, the people who should know him don't. They barely seem to realise he's alive.
…He's not sure he'll be alive much longer.
OR: Harley can't help but feel overshadowed by Peter, for good reason. He was also recently outed as gay in Rose Hill where he's constantly being bullied for it. This, combined with various other things going wrong, leads Harley to the top of the Avenger's Tower.

"Yes," Principal Morita agreed, swallowing back his fear at the narrow eyed glare coming from Tony. "I believe this has been blown out of proportion. Peter shouldn't have run to you about what I perceive to be playground insults and Flash should've had the responsibility to not say them in the first place. Therefore, I believe four days worth of detention for both and a written apology should suffice as punishment,"
"Excuse me?!" May shouts, pushing herself up from her chair. There's a burning fire in her eyes, like she couldn't believe that the principal would imply that that low of a punishment would be enough.
OR: Peter's field trip didn't go so well because of a guy named Eugene 'Flash' Thompson. These are the consequences of Flash's actions compiled into 4,000 or so words.

|| He's not sure how long his head has been in his arms for, but Peter's head almost seems to snap up as the words 'field trip' and 'Stark Institute' fall from Mr. Harrington's lips.
No. No. He can't be serious, right? Tony would've told him sooner if his school were going on a field trip to what was practically his second home… Right?
Of course, as a piece of paper embellished with the Stark Institute logo drops onto the table in front of him, his hopes are all but shattered.
OR: We all love a good Field Trip fic. And I wanted to try my hand at writing one. So I threw all my favourite trope and characters into a blender and here we are.

He couldn’t stop running. His life depended on it. He knew the sound of footfall behind him wasn’t his own. No, the footfall was theirs. The monsters. He was so close. The street lights blurred in streaks of gold and a hazed orange as each step felt like he was treading against a current of fresh molasses. His vision became foggy, the golds and oranges fading together into a hazy blur. Not now. He ran as his legs began to quake from sheer exhaustion. His knees nearly buckled from underneath him and he stumbled. Once he heard footsteps getting closer, he took off. He couldn’t give up now, not when he’s this close.
OR
Peter Parker, a foster kid, is running for his life. Until he arrives on his boyfriend, Harley Keener’s doorstep, of course.
