Lance is married, for fuck’s sake, and Keith being weirdly comfortable with him is not helping at all – not in the slightest.
The light reflects on a piece of silver metal on Keith’s hand as his fingers play with Lance’s.
He zeroes in on it, his breath catching in his throat.
It’s a thin silver ring that sits nicely on his left ring finger, adorned with an even thinner golden band around it, perfectly matching, and mirroring the ring that Lance found on his bathroom counter this morning.
Oh, no way. No, no, no, no. Absolutely not.
This has to be some kind of cruel joke.
There is no way that the person he’s married to in the future is Keith.
or: Lance unwillingly takes one for the team and wakes up ten years in the future.

Summary
There was never supposed to be just one Ultimate Lifeform.
However, G.U.N invaded the ARK before Gerald Robotnik got the chance to make his ideas into a reality. He would be imprisoned and soon executed. The only things he left behind were plans for a canon capable of destroying planets and the blueprints for two lifeforms that would be equal to Shadow.
One with the power to absorb all energies, no matter how dark. One with the power to turn mere thoughts into weapons.
Those plans were meant to be forgotten until a blue hedgehog appeared in a small town in Montana. His appearance made G.U.N come to a decision.
Awake the past.
Reform the present.
Create the future.
In time, G.U.N would have their three weapons.

They lifted him effortlessly, carrying him towards a large, armored vehicle. The back doors swung open, revealing a sterile, metallic interior. Sonic’s mind raced with fear and uncertainty as they placed him inside and secured him with restraints.
The vehicle roared to life, its engine a deep, menacing growl. As they sped away, Sonic’s thoughts were a whirlwind of despair. Longclaw’s sacrifice, the loss of his home, and now, being captured by these unknown forces—his world had been turned upside down.

He is well-aware of his personality, that he was born like this – loud, intense, passionate, excessive, and bold. Which means it’s even worse when it comes to his crush on Akaashi.
