The princes were always inherently competitive, refusing to even share their knights as they each kept their own order. However, that was nothing compared to their captains. Captain Janus of the north is always cold, except he gets pretty heated when he faces up against his rival, Captain Logan of the south.

For sides who are supposed to be so good, the lights sure seem to lie a lot.
Janus would know. He can taste them.
But it's not any of his business what the lights do. He has no reason to get involved at all. Helping them could come at serious cost to himself, so why should he? It's not like he cares if any of them get hurt, anyway.
(But maybe that's the biggest lie of them all.)

Summary
He was warm. Not unusual. He tended to burrow under blankets while he slept, making more of a nest out of them than anything. He rolled over and yawned, about to go back to sleep, but he frowned. It was bright. He could see the light through his eyelids, it was far too bright in his room, he never left the lights on when he slept.
He realized with a jolt of panic that he wasn’t lying in bed, either. He didn’t feel the soothing weight of his blankets atop him, nor the softness of his mattress below. Instead, he felt hard ground.
He shot to his feet with a hiss, instantly awake and on guard, quickly taking in his surroundings with a sinking heart.
He was on a large, smooth rock. Before it was what looked like mulch woodchips. But beyond that….
He was in a cage. A terrarium, more accurately, he imagined Logan saying with an adjustment to his glasses. That brought a smile to his face for a moment, before it slipped away.- Language:

Summary
It’s funny; the more he moves, the more damage he does to his insides, the more his bones shift in ways that they’re definitely not supposed to shift. But if he stops, he’ll die for sure. He’s got one chance, and it lies deep in the forest. Deeper, perhaps, than he will be able to go.
He keeps walking. One foot in front of the other.
Remus is maybe, possibly dying. Just a little bit. His magic is spent, and his ribs are definitely messed up. His only hope is to get to the witch that's supposed to live in this forest and throw himself on their mercy.
It turns out that the witch is hot.
