Mike jolted, watching in horror as Will was pulled down to the ground, his hands scrambling to find purchase among the loose rocks. Wrapped around his ankle was a thick, black vine and Mike gulped as he saw that it was beginning to pull Will towards the cliffside.

Mike startled when Will began to move, his limbs disentangling as he was slowly lifted into the air. El and Jonathan were stumbling backwards in shock as they watched Will hover, his friends were swearing and crying in the background but Mike could only concentrate on Will. Will, whose body was slack and limp as it hung in the air. The whites of his eyes still wide as he blinked rapidly. As Mike scrambled to his feet, he felt his body tremble and shake as pure terror flowed through his veins.
