“This is starting to sound less like a wedding and more like old home day,” Chris joked, checking his own phone. “Jill and Carlos got held up on their mission in Africa, but they’re bringing Sheva with them. Also tomorrow morning.”
Claire let out a low whistle. “Lots of people. Why do I have the feeling something’s going to go tits up?”
“Because it always does,” Krauser said wryly, fingers tightening almost imperceptibly around his mug; Leon knew how he felt about crowds, and made a mental note to keep an eye on him this weekend. “There’s no stopping it–just gotta figure out the when, where, and what.”
Chris nodded his agreement, and Leon felt him shift to nudge Jack’s foot with his own under the table. “Yep, and since Leon and I are the best men, it’s our job to keep whatever it turns out to be away from the happy couple, or Piers will never let me hear the fucking end of it.”
“Easier said than done,” Leon muttered.
He had no idea how true those words would wind up being.
(Or, the one where Piers and Luis get married. What could go wrong?)

Summary
Krauser, apparently having decided on dinner, turned from the fridge with an armful of items. He kicked the door shut with his foot and started setting everything down next to Leon on the counter. When his arms were empty, he caged Leon in with them.
“What are you doing with your ass on my counter, Kennedy?” Jack asked, his head tilted towards Leon’s.
Leon, unphased by the look he was being leveled with, took a sip of his tea. “Chris put me here.” He gave Jack a too sweet smile, daring the man to do something about it.
Jack leaned further into Leon’s space, but he turned his head to look at Chris. “Redfield, is this true?”
Chris smiled behind his mug. “No, sir, he’s lying.”
Leon squawked, his mouth falling open in disbelief as his eyes snapped to Chris. “Mmm,” Krauser purred, bringing his attention back to Leon. Leon swallowed as those icy blue eyes pierced him. “We’re hearing mixed signals, boy scout.”
