Like the small, white flower that he tucked into his robe next to his heart years and years ago, long crumbled into dust, leaving nothing but a smudge on white robes that were long decayed.
Don’t think about it, Xie Lian thought, blinking back tears that threatened to spill. Unconsciously, his hand drifted to the cursed shackle around his ankle and brushed it gently.
“Gege?” Hua Cheng asked.

After a moment of hesitation, Xie Lian finds himself smiling softly; he may be tired, but not that tired, and Hua Cheng has proven time and again to have most excellent skills in making Xie Lian forget about his worries — and, well, pretty much everything else — with his touches and caresses.

The sex, no matter how violent, is always a mutually satisifying arrangement. It’s the after that Xie Lian worries about. Hua Cheng never allows his clones to stay, in the after. As soon as he’s climaxed, he snaps his fingers and dissipates that other bloody body.
Xie Lian wishes he would wipe the blood off, first. He wishes that Hua Cheng would let them catch their breaths. He wishes that he and his clone could lie together quietly, recovering. He wishes—he wishes—he wishes—
