Summary
Daryl Dixon lead the kind of life that had many people thinking little of him. He grew up in a house that could never feel like a home with a mother who passed away when he was too young, a brother who dragged him into all kinds of trouble, and a father who would beat him for the littlest thing. He heard the rumors about his family his entire life, believing nobody could ever see him for more. It caused him to blindly follow his brother and got him into his fair share of trouble as well.
Daryl knew the town they lived in could never see him as more than some trailer park trash that would be better off wiped from existence. He knew the way they felt by the looks he received as he walked the streets of town. He knew from the not so quiet whispers around him through his school years. He knew just how badly people judged him from as early as he could remember, and he knew nobody could see him differently.

After improving her life and getting accepted into the USAFA-despite her notorious track record-she graduates, top of her class and goes into the air force to serve three years of active duty. Followed by a period of inactive duty because of an incident with her commander.
Eleven years in service earned her, her place as Tactical Sergeant.
Y/N's one of the first to know about the epidemic, she was one of the bombers who flew over Atlanta to try and eradicate the build up of the undead. Which then was followed by her and her squadron setting up a small camp for survivors, as the government continued to try and quell the spread.
It didn't work and eventually they had to leave the infected civilians behind, opting to travel out of Georgia. While on the road they stop at a blockage of the highway, a pile up of cars. Y/N elects to go hunting while others clear the pile up, where she runs into a little girl being chased by walkers. A little girl named Sophia Peletier that would eventually change her life...

“Ive never felt so brave and so scared in all my life,” you sigh. Your brow misted in sweat and your face wet with tears, you hold the little creature you’ve waited months to meet. Your body trembles as the shock wears off, but you can’t stop smiling.
Arthur pulls back on the blanket just a little, to get a better look. His touch is gentle, as though he could easily hurt the baby with just one glance.
You see his eyes as they stare in awe. There is a hidden sadness behind them, a nervous feeling as though he is betraying a memory.
You speak softly. “Arthur, loving this child will never replace the love for the one you lost.”
His eyes slowly look up to meet yours. He sees what you’ve accomplished, what he didn’t get to see the first time. It’s an appreciation for who you are and what you’ve given him.
