Mike is waiting for Will in the basement, a look of suspicious, nervous excitement on his face. He cleared the table and laid out upon it are two card games.
"Now, I know you’ll resist," Mike blurts out, stepping toward him. "But I think this will be good. For both of us! For when we... you know,” Mike trails off, “When we get partners.”
Will scoffs, stepping closer to inspect the titles.
Spill or Sip and Truth, Dare, or Strip.
Or: Mike suggests a spicy card game to help Will loosen up before college. It works a little too well, and suddenly they’re gambling with unresolved feelings, and clothes, that were meant to stay in place.

Summary
Will Byers is... stressed is the nicest way to put it. Between training for the Olympics as a figure skater, getting through high school, trying to manage his family when his sister is disabled, his brother is in Indy for college, and his mom is stressed (and there's some drama with money and a restraining order), and on top of that, his coach isn't being great and he's still alone at school... well, he's definitely not having the time of his life, despite what Green Day sang.
Meanwhile, Mike Wheeler's just moved back to his hometown after moving away to Chicago for his dad's job - but while he's changed between getting a little bit more confidence, getting damn good at hockey, and years of growing up, he quickly falls back into his home, re-befriending his childhood friends Lucas and Dustin. However, his former best friend, Will, is... different too, both good and bad.
As they try to get through high school as well as managing athletics and their own personal lives, will Mike and Will find their way through to something good? Or will they be hindered by their circumstances and their own issues, falling into a much worse life than they could have? Find out by reading 'On Ice'!
