Summary

Summary
When Seonghwa finishes wiping down the tables, Hongjoong walks over. He pays for his beers with that familiar black card, but slides fifty dollars in cash across the counter.
“I was thinking,” Seonghwa says as he slips the money into his apron. He must look awful, his hair a mess after a six-hour shift at the bar, worn out from exhaustion and lack of sleep. He couldn't be less attractive than he is right now. “I noticed you seem interested, so I figured I'd ask. “It could be. Or it could all work out perfectly. Imagine how great that would be for your reputation, the guy who put the Jung Wooyoung in his place!” Seonghwa smirked.
There was no way that San was going to be able achieve such a feat, from his brief research alone he knew that nothing ever deterred Wooyoung, not even the threat of prison. But, the pay was excellent, and the fact that he would even agree to take on the task would make him look fantastic.
He’d dealt with people like this many a times, sure they had been far younger, but San figured they were one in the same. Dealing with a spoilt man child for a few weeks was absolutely nothing to him, and perhaps at the end of it all he could buy the new car he’d had his eye on.
His broad shoulders slumped in defeat as he clicked on the ‘reply’ button of the email.

Soulmates were beautiful. He remembers the pit in his stomach when his teacher explained that most people didn’t have a soulmate. He watched his mum and dad every day, saw the way they moved around each other, worked together, and loved each other from the depths of their souls.
He couldn’t imagine not having that for himself, and for a long time, he looked to the sky every night and hoped that someone out there was born to be with him, born for him.
This wasn’t what he thought having a soulmate would be like. Not what he pictured. He had to remind himself that he and Wooyoung didn’t fit the mold of typical soulmates. They were idols. Cursed to be with each other nearly every waking moment, day and night, but forced to maintain distance.
An incredibly ironic tragedy.
