Every part of this this body was clinging. If Apollo was mortal perhaps he would make a comment about wearing a shoe that was too small in size. Apollo wasn’t mortal - not even half mortal like Percy - though and that was the issue. Being confined in this body was much more than a shoe that was ill fitting.
Apollo was immortal. He had been both without form and had any form of his choosing. His father shoving him into a mortal’s body wasn’t like wearing a shoe that squeezed the toes. It was being stuck in a piece of meat that you well aware that could become rotting thing due to numerous circumstances, it was having a heart that’s beat he could hear whenever he got-
“You’ve got that look,” Percy told him. His voice was rough.
“What look?” Apollo asked as he lifted his chin to look up at the demi-god. While Apollo struggled to recall his past - a mortal’s body holding thousands of years of memories was like trying to hold water with a wide, open hand which was to say it an useless endeavor that was most frustrating - he did know Percy’s eyes looked as though they had been plucked out of the sockets of an appearance Poseidon had favored in modern times.
