Summary
When a teacher strike cancels school, James Potter declares freedom and drags his friends into town for an unplanned adventure. Regulus isn’t just dramatic; he’s relentless. Arrest records, protest banners, and righteous fury come standard. James is fascinated before he understands why. Between dairy-based vigilantism and a near-brawl with the police, admiration turns into something warmer—and far more confusing.
James has never questioned himself like this before. Regulus has never let himself hope for something soft. One badly handled conversation, a tearful retreat, and a reckless sprint later, both boys are forced to confront what’s been obvious to everyone else all along.
Sometimes revolutions are loud. Sometimes they’re just two boys figuring out how to hold hands.

“As I was saying,” he continued. “James couldn’t pull me-“
“Says who?” James snorts. “I could totally pull you, mate. You’re just stubborn. I don’t know how you’ve lived with me so long and you haven’t tried to shag me yet.”
Everybody in the room lets out a groan in unison, all muttering variations of I hate you and you’re so bloody full of yourself, and Regulus just muttered “get your head out of your arse, Potter,” and snorted, sitting up to take James’ face in his hands, squeezing his cheeks together. “You can’t. I’m too smart.”
James hums, then he giggles and leans in, rubbing his nose against Regulus’. Regulus grins, cheeks flushing. “I totally could,” he says quietly, voice thick and scratchy.

Summary
“I don't want to lose you though,” James can’t help but say, his voice wobbling on the words.
“You aren’t losing me,” Regulus answers and James relaxes, relief rushing through him until he hears the rest of Regulus’ answer.
“You can’t lose something that was never yours to begin with,” he finishes and James can feel his heart splitting, the fractured shards piercing through his chest as he feels faint.
But he was, he was James’.
James had had him within his reach and he had held him and kissed him and loved him, he was James’ even if it was all fake.
Because James loved him.
Oh.
Oh.
He loves him. James Potter is incredibly, insanely and completely in love with Regulus Black. Despite the shock that comes with the revelation, James can’t bring himself to feel regret or fear. He loves Regulus and he wouldn’t change it for the world.

Summary
When the professors at Hogwarts decide to roll in a new assignment for the prefects, Regulus is tasked with writing an essay on an impossible topic. Some have to write about their pets, others have to discuss their favourite book. Instead of something simple, he has to write about the person who raised him. Oh, and then he has to present his essay to the whole school.
Regulus doesn’t know how he’ll find a single positive thing to say about his parents. Walburga and Orion aren’t exactly the warm and fuzzy type. He’s quite sure he’s doomed, until a chance meeting with his brother brings forth a humbling realisation.
[Or, Regulus writes about the person who raised him, Sirius is trying his best and James is a good boyfriend]

Summary
Regulus stayed with his family when Sirius ran despite Sirius' pleads for him to follow his brother. Regulus was scared so he stayed. Sirius understood this and so he waited for Regulus to come to Hogwarts, hoping to reconnect. His friends knew how much he missed his little brother.
And then Regulus came to Hogwarts, eager to hang out with Sirius and his friends.
He was sorted into Slytherin. The Marauders were fine with it.
Regulus fell in love with James Potter. The Marauders were fine with it.
Regulus Black and James Potter started dating. The Marauders were fine with it.
Regulus Black took the Dark Mark. The Marauders were not fine with it.It all went south after that. Sirius and the Marauders ignored Regulus despite his tries to explain it all.
No one listened. Not even James Potter who always listened.
None but Regulus' friends knew the true story behind the Dark Mark. So, Regulus did what he does the best.
He sacrificed himself for everyone else. James Potter only hoped it wasn't too late by the time he learned of his sacrifice.Bookmarked by wonderstar

Summary
Regulus has always been extremely possessive and just as jealous. Perhaps it’s a trait that comes from being raised at Grimmauld Place, perhaps it’s from growing up with Sirius as his older brother, or perhaps it’s simply one of the many curses of being a Black. However, it had never been much of an issue until he fell madly in love with one of the most attractive and sought after students at Hogwarts. And did it really matter that he knew that James was just as caught up on him, if he was the only one who knew?
