Summary
Jay comes back home.
*
“I’m sorry.”
“For what, Jay?” Hailey doesn’t want to sound angry, she doesn’t want to make him feel guilty for making the decision he thought was the right one for himself, but she needs to know.
“For everything. For leaving without properly talking about it with you, for not reaching out, for not answering your messages, for allowing you to think the worse of me, for letting you deal with everything that happened here alone." He pauses for a minute. He had reversed a speech at the airport, but there is nothing better than what's in his heart. "I needed time."

Summary
A body is discovered under the freezing waters of Auburn Park Lagoon.
The DNA results show it’s connected to a cold case from ten years ago, so Intelligence passes it to another Unit.
When someone with similar features to the body disappears, the team acknowledges the case might not be as cold as they had initially thought.
-
“I know there is something else about this case, Jay. Something related to Walter. Voight told us to let it go, but I can feel something is not adding up." Hailey shares her concerns with her husband.
"Okay, if you think this is worth following up on, I'm in." Jay sits on the living room floor next to her and takes half the files from the pile.

Summary
She sees him. At first, she thinks her eyes might be playing tricks on her. She saw him everywhere, everyday for months after he left, but that hasn’t happened for years. Hailey knows those broad shoulders and that resolute stance. There is no mistaking the body she knows as well as her own. She couldn’t forget it if she tried- and God, she tried. For the first time in two years, six months, and twenty-eight days, she sees him.
