Summary
To peacefully end the war with Akielos, King Auguste of Vere sold his brother in marriage. To some, that was his first mistake.
As Laurent thrived in Akielos, his brother's rule suffered without him. Now the King of Vere has taken a prolonged Retreat from his duties, leaving the country in the hands of his chosen Regent, his uncle, Richard. Summary

Laurent, a newly turned vampire with very little knowledge of the supernatural world he's been forced into, bumps into a lost ghost wandering around the streets of Marlas, and decides to help him get justice for his death. However, there are other Supernatural creatures lurking in Marlas, a group led by a charismatic werewolf called Damianos and a mysterious shapeshifter known as Cyra.
AKA a fic where I explore my faves as Supernatural creatures and play around a little. I have a general plot and a direction I can see this going, will try and update monthly! I'm tryna go for the kinda light comedy vibe but with sort of contrasted with dark parts, angst etc, and I've drawn inspiration from many things to kind of attempt to create my own lore on some supernatural beings that will be showing up.
Had a bit of a meltdown and deleted the original fic but I've re uploaded and will be posting once again, unfortunately cannot gaurantee any schedule
(more updates, I abandoned this fic due to many reasons which are summarized in the notes on chapter 7, but I'm back at it again after about 4 years so yay. also Laurent is a trans man now lol)

Summary

And soon, it’s Auguste’s mysterious younger brother, cold and beautiful, who Damen suspects knows more about the Wolf than he’s letting on.

Laurent wakes screaming. He’s dying. He must be. It’s the only explanation he has for the utter agony, confusion and terror that he feels. His brain is splitting itself open, bits of it strewn across space and time. He’s twenty one, in Arles, finally crowned. He’s fourteen, at Chastillon, on his knees for his uncle. He’s twenty, in Ios, watching a blade sink into Damen’s side. He’s sixteen, all alone, dreaming of revenge.
Last night Laurent had thrust his arm at Damen, “attend me,” he had commanded, as if Damen weren’t a king in his own right. Last night, Uncle had sat on his bed, played chess with him. “I will always have time for you,” he had reassured Laurent, “even though Auguste has outgrown you.”
Laurent leans to the side and vomits, violently. His fingers shake as he pushes his hair back, slowly, the room spins into focus. His hair is shorter than he remembers, Damen likes it long. His hair is exactly the same, cut by his nursemaid once a month.
He is thirteen, at Marlas, and he knows everything.
