Chapter Text
It was cold. This wasn’t new, it was always cold. It was dark too, but this wasn’t unusual, either. The chill was the kind of chill that seeped into one's bones, the kind that takes hours to warm up from. The walls were pitch white, and the floor looked like it had been white at one point, but all the dried blood made it hard to tell.
A drop of fresh blood fell on the floor.
First looked at the door, shifting his bloody wrists as he tried to move the pressure off of them, but failed due to sheer exhaustion. Moving his shoulder and oh.
That hurt. It was probably dislocated, he thought with a grimace. Bracing himself, he leaned his weight more heavily on his legs, and jerked himself backwards as fast as he could. An awful crack sounded, and his vision went white-hot for a second, before the pain receded. He shifted his shoulder, noting that it felt to be in the right place this time.
Now that his shoulder wasn’t in agony, other injuries began to make themselves known. Namely, his legs were trembling with the effort of keeping him upright. They were much too weak to do so, but he didn’t really have another choice.
Day after week after year, he was stuck. He had long lost count of how long he had been here, in this cold, unforgiving cell, wrists and ankles bloody with abuse. Idly, First wondered why they used medieval shackles. It was a stupid thing to wonder about, but he learned that the best way to keep himself from going insane was to distract himself. He continued to wonder about stupid things, until the lights flickered on.
The door opened with a slam. First’s head jerked up, and he attempted to turn to the door, glaring at his captor. Dagianis grinned wickedly as he walked in the door.
“You're early,” First glared.
He didn’t respond besides widening his smirk.
As soon as Dagianis left, fresh wounds littering the chained man’s body, he broke down sobbing. First screamed and cursed out anything. Hylia, the government, himself. It didn’t matter. Nothing mattered. He just wanted to die. Anything was better than this.
Anything.
Another drop of blood fell to the floor.
Something in the air shifted. Somehow, it was less cold. Suddenly, a bright light flashed in front of him, and he could briefly see the silhouette of a person, reaching out toward him.
“Take my strength, hero. The world needs you still.”
‘Oh,’ he thought. ‘I’m going insane.’ He was surprised that it took so long.
As if the universe existed to prove him wrong, a flash of golden light filled the room. Somehow, he felt his injuries start to fade, his strength returning. As if he was told, he knew this would be temporary. Experimentally, he pulled his wrist away from the wall. The chain shattered, little bits of metal flying away as the weakest link broke apart.
Running through the halls of the winding prison, A few military members attempted to stop him, failing spectacularly as he garroted them with the shackles they used to hold him down. Stumbling into the open, he regretted not having time to savor the sunlight, dashing through the forest before him as fast as he could.
The light softly emanating from him flickered.
Once
Twice
Off
Every injury came back in full force, and his legs gave out under him as he crashed to the ground, bleeding sluggishly.
‘At least I won’t die in the dark,’ he thought to himself as he slowly lost consciousness.
Time was slowly drumming his fingers on the table. He wasn’t impatient, just bored. Absently, his mind turned to his old teammate, Lionheart. He wondered what had happened to him. Just disappearing one day.
A flash of silver, and he was in the in-between of his mind and the Deity’s. This was not unusual, the Deity pulled him to this space to talk often. What was unusual was the anxiety the Deity held in his eyes.
“Little one, I require your assistance once more.” The Deity spoke with confidence, but Time knew he wouldn’t be forced into doing anything.
“What is it, Fierce?”
The god sighed. “Do you remember your teammate, Lionheart?”
Time felt his heart speed up. This could go nowhere good. “What- What about him?”
“He requires your assistance. I am,” He looked around for something that didn’t exist, or perhaps Time just couldn’t see it. “I am unsure how much I am allowed to say, but your companion is in great danger. You must rescue him.
Time felt his heart stop. “Where?”
A set of coordinates were given, and the in-between faded away.
“-me?”
“-ime?
“TIME!”
He bolted into consciousness with a start. Warriors was shaking him violently. Time tapped his hand to get him to stop, before bolting up, grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling furiously.
“What are you doing? Did your pet god visit you in your sleep again?”
“Lionheart’s alive.”
Warriors paused at that. “What?”
Time grabbed his phone and started to dial. “Lionheart’s alive.”
Warriors started to yell as the person Time was calling picked up the phone.
“What the fuck do you want.”
“Lullaby, this is really sudden but I need to borrow your plane.”
There was a loud, audible sigh. “Don’t destroy anything.”
Time let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you. I owe you one.”
“You owe me a few more than one, clock boy. I expect a full explanation when you’re done.” She hung up the phone, and Time grabbed his brother's hand, dragging him to the car.
“TIME EXPLAIN WHAT YOU JUST SAID!”
As the car drove to the airport as fast as the road would allow, Time explained the best he could.
“So your pet god told you that Lionheart is alive and bleeding out in a forest somewhere?”
“Stop calling him that.”
“No. You didn’t answer my question.”
Time let out a long suffering sigh. “Yes.”
As the plane landed, they got to the location as fast as they could, breaking several traffic laws in the process.
As they entered the clearing, Warriors spotted a few drops of blood on the ground.
“Look!”
They followed the trail, and saw his unconscious body lying in the foliage. Gently picking him up, Time walked as quickly as he could to their car without jostling the man in his arms. Setting him down softly, Warriors grabbed the first aid kit as Time checked how badly the injuries were.
It was a horrific sight.
Bruises old and new littered his skin. Deep slashes ran across his back, and his wrists and ankles were a crimson red, the wounds fading into the skin like they were a natural part of it if not for the bleeding, the skin rubbed away. His limbs looked too frail to support his body, and Time was hit with the impression that his bones would be easier to break than a stick.
Fury coursed through his veins, and he barely managed to stop himself from waking up the poor man and demanding to know who did this.
Warriors opened the car door, pausing when he saw First.
“Oh shit, that’s- that’s not good.”
Time turned to glare at him. “ You don’t say. Help me bandage his injuries.” The two worked together in silence, barely believing this was real.
First woke up in a warmly decorated room. This was strange in itself, seeing as he didn’t expect to wake up. The next thing that was strange was that he was in a bed. Another was the fact that there were voices coming from down the hall. All of these things were unfamiliar to him.
‘Am I in the afterlife?’ he wondered. He sat up in bed, and immediately regretted it as he was suddenly assaulted with agony as wounds attempting to heal were suddenly pulled. He hissed in pain as he pulled himself out of the bed, only to faceplant into the floor as his legs gave out underneath him. His tumble caused a loud crash to ring out, and a few seconds later several people were running into the room.
He felt a gentle arm lifting him back up, setting him down gently on the bed. “Who?” he mumbled questioningly, throat hoarse from screaming.
“I’m Malon. Do you know how you got here?” He shook his head, turning to gaze at the other people in the room.
“Who are you? How did I-” his words dissolved into coughing, hurting his damaged ribs even more.
The man at the back of the room grabbed a cup of water, handing it to him. There was something familiar about him, but he couldn’t quite place what. “Are you alright?”
“ How did I get here?”
He paused for a moment, thinking of what to say. “We found you bleeding out in the woods. Wars and I took you here, and Malon fixed you up.” He pointed to a pale blonde man in the corner. He also felt familiar, and staring at him, he realized.
“Eras? Deity? How did you…?” he trailed off as they nodded, eyes widening as he looked at his friends. His friends.
“Actually, My name’s Time. That’s Warriors,”
First looked at them, and his eyes filled with tears as he saw his teammates, his friends standing right there in front of him.
“First.”
By some miracle, Time guessed what was going to happen, and went to intercept him as he fell, arms full of his sobbing friend.
“You- youre- youre really here .” Warriors walked over and softly put his arms around him as well, First freezing up for a second before relaxing further into the hug. Safety was a foreign thing to him now, but maybe it didn’t have to be.
Orville was tired. 4 years, and he still didn’t have any leads. Four years, and he was still no closer to finding his husband. Four years , and he was tired.
His phone rang. Unknown number. He answered, hoping maybe someone had found a lead. “Hello?” a voice he had barely hoped to hear again answered.
“Orville?”
He dropped the phone. It fell to the floor with a clatter. His shock overwhelmed him for a brief moment, before he snatched the phone up, asking “First?” as softly as he could.
“Y- Yeah. I- I’m sorry it took me so long, I-” his voice sounded so fragile. Orville felt his heart shatter.
“First,” he said, cutting him off. “Darling. You do NOT need to apologize to me unless your going missing was your choice, okay?”
“I, Okay. Okay.”
“What happened?”
First inhaled sharply, and Orville immediately knew that was the wrong question to ask. “It’s a… long story. I’d- I’d rather tell you in person. Will you…”
“Of course. Just tell me where you are.”
Four months later
“How’re your new leg braces working out?”
“Frustrating.” First went to fiddle with a knob sticking out of the braces. “Logically, I know that if I take them off I'm going to collapse, but I always feel like they're going to limit my movement.”
“Yeah, that makes sense. By the way, have you heard from Time about the thing?”
“What thing?”
Warriors started to grin. “If you haven't heard, I'm gonna wait for them to tell you.”
“Warriors, What thing?”
“Goodbye!”
“Get back here!” he tried to run after him, only to stumble, catching himself on the countertop. “Ugh. I hate you.”
“No you don’t!” he called after him.
Orville walked past him as he was running out. “Villy! Grab him!”
“Why am I grabbing Warriors?” he grabbed the collar of his shirt nonetheless.
“I’m not tellin you nothin!!”
Orville rolled his eyes and let go of his shirt collar, instead going to help First up from his precarious position holding onto the countertop. Time took that chance to enter the room, a dopey grin on his face.
“I have big news,” he announced. “Malon and I are expecting!”
“What?!” Orville and First yelled in unison. They started to shout their congratulations, cheerful chaos erupting as Wind entered the room, looking like he just got out of bed despite it being the afternoon.
As their little group started to joke and comment and talk, First felt himself just relax into the moment, even as the group moved to the living room. Four months ago this would have been inconceivable. Four months ago he had been convinced he was going to die alone in a cold, bloody cell.
It’s amazing how much can change in such a short time.
Things were not perfect, but they were getting better. And isn’t that the important thing?
Chapter 2
Notes:
baby sky baby sky Baby Sky Baby Sky BABY SKY :D Your honor, these kids are adorable.
Chapter Text
Sky was scared. He wasn’t sure what exactly was happening. His back felt unusually heavy, and if he reached to feel it he could feel something coming out of it. He grabbed the strange protrusions, gasping when he accidentally pulled something out of it. He winced.
It was a bright red feather.
“Daaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!”
Both of his parents came rushing into his room, Orville entering before First for obvious reasons. He froze as he entered the room, eyes widening as he saw the wings poking out of Sky’s back. First skidded into the room a few seconds later, copying his husband's expression as he saw.
“Kiddo?” First seemed hesitant. “What happened?”
Sky seemed distraught at this, exclaiming “I dunno! My back just felt kinda itchy so I itched it and there were these thingies in the way! Am I sick?”
First looked sad at that, and bent down, grabbing little Sky’s hands. “No. You’re not sick kiddo, Okay? You’re just very special, okay? You've got a very special power, and we need to figure out how it works, okay?”
He nodded a little, tears still staining his face as he grabbed onto his dad.
“Like Twi?”
“Yes, exactly like Twi. and just like you can’t tell anyone about Twi’s powers, you can’t tell anyone about yours, okay?”
The kid nodded, not fully understanding but trusting his dad. First passed him to Orville and stepped out of the room, calling his old friend, practically his brother.
“Heya First, What’s up? I thought you’d be taking Sky to preschool right now. Did something happen?”
“Sky has powers.”
“What? Oh no, What happened?”
First took a deep breath, before launching into his tale. “Sky called us into his room and he was just standing there, with wings! WINGS, TIME! They don’t even look like normal bird’s wings, they're bright red. How are we supposed to hide this?! What if he messes up and tells a kid, and then that kid tells their parent, and then he gets taken away by the government and then they try to recreate project E.R.A.S, or maybe they just consider him a danger and-”
“First!” Time interrupted, “Take a breath. Breathe. We can help this, okay? We can’t help him by panicking. What if we took him to the ranch to learn how to control his powers like we did for Twilight?”
“That’s-” He paused. “That’s a really good idea, actually.”
You could feel his smirk from the other end of the phone line. “Twilight’s been asking if we could go back soon anyways. Do you think there’s too many people to carpool?”
First started counting how many people there were that would be coming. Him, Orville, Sky, Malon, Wind, Warriors, Time, Twilight… Yeah they wouldn’t be fitting in one car. He told Time as much, and they continued to plan their impromptu vacation.
A few hours later, they had finalized travel plans. As they drove along the road, Twilight and Sky started to argue about whose powers were cooler. Twilight maintained that having two separate bodies was cooler than having extra limbs, and Sky argued that having wings had more practical applications. Orville was getting a little sick of their bickering, and he turned to the kids.
“If you need to fight about your power being cooler, It’s not cooler” They stopped arguing, only to start protesting their coolness to Orville.
First decided to stoke the flames a little more. Not taking his eyes off the road, he announced, “I dunno, If a power was really sooooo cool, don’t you think everyone would recognize it as the coolest power?”
The kid’s argument lasted for another hour, the adults chiming in occasionally to redirect the arguments.
Finally, they pulled into the ranch, seeing Malon’s car already there. Twilight jumped out of the cat, carrening himself into his parents arms.
“Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddd, tell Sky that shapeshifting is so much cooler than wings.”
Time poked him in the ribs, a mischievous grin climbing his face. “I dunno, Twilight. Having wings is a pretty cool superpower.”
“Dad!”
“Don’t tease him darling,” Malon chided him. “Both of your powers are very cool.”
Wind took that moment to come out of the main house. “But not as cool as WIND MANIPULATION!”
That naturally sparked another argument, for about 30 seconds before they had all inexplicably made up.
“Why are we here, anyway? Nobody would tell me why we’re at the ranch 2 weeks early.” Wind looked very put out at not being in the loop, and Orville suddenly wanted to remind him that almost-eleven is not a grownup age.
“Sky needs help learning to control his powers like you two did, and the ranch is the best place to do that.”
Warriors came out of the house a few minutes later, scooping the kids up in a bear hug, while they all tried to escape.
“Geddoff me you filthy landlubber!”
“Wind, You’re a landlubber too.”
“Am not!”
They bickered as they went into the house, the others following.
Over the next few days, they tried a bunch of tests to figure out the limits of Sky’s powers.
Sky was standing on the roof of the house, Orville ready to catch him below.
“I promise to catch you if you can’t get enough lift, Okay?”
“Okay,” he still looked unsure. Taking a deep breath, Sky jumped.
Flapping his wings as hard as he could, he felt himself losing altitude and panicked, wings flapping as hard as they could to keep him off the ground. His descent slowed, and he completely stopped a few feet above his dad.
He was flying.
“This is so cool!!!” as soon as he had stopped concentrating, he crashed into his dad’s arms, letting out a small ‘oof’
Orville spun him around in a circle, laughing. “That was incredible, Sky! You were flying!”
“I was flying! Like a birdie!”
“Yeah, like a birdie!”
Warriors poked his head out of the house. “It worked?”
Sky giggled. “Wars I’m a birdie!”
“A birdie?” he gasped. “You’re a birdie?”
“Waaaaaaaaaaars.”
His wings flapped as hard as they could, as fast as a hummingbird. Flapflapflapflapflapflapflapfla-
“HEY, WHATCHA DOIN?” His feet, which had started to lift off of the ground, fell back to the floor as his concentration shattered.
“WIND!” he shouted, face growing red, “I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING!”
“oops”
First watched as his son chased Wind around the sheep paddock. “They grow up so fast.”
Sky had never been so far up in the air before. Wind had used his powers to push him super far up, with the adults ready to catch him if he fell. As he lost altitude, he angled his wings to lead him sideways, gasping with joy as he glided toward the ranch. He flapped his wings once, squealing happily as his altitude increased.
He leaned to the side, angling himself back toward his family. He flipped his wings closed, and he fell to the ground rapidly, parents dashing to catch him as he reopened his wings and flapped down to the ground safely.
“Darling,” First gasped, grabbing Sky’s hands as he crouched down, “That was incredible. But please never scare me like that again.
First walked outside, and saw Wind using his powers on something upwards, connected to a string.
“Are you flying a kite?”
“No, Look.”
Lo and behold, Wind was directing Sky with his powers, keeping him upright as he flew. First wondered if this was what a heart attack felt like as he rushed to be able to catch him if he fell.
First looked at the clock. 3:45 AM.
“Should we move them?”
“But they look so peaceful.”
There was a click of someone’s phone camera.
First grabbed a blanket and tucked the kids in, ruffling Sky’s hair as the adults went to bed. Sky shifted, curling more into Twilight as Wind absently kicked a pillow away. The cuddle pile did look very comfortable.
Warriors debated joining them.
Chapter 3
Summary:
A family doesn't have to be who you're related to. Sometimes, a family is a group of children who escaped from a government lab together.
Notes:
Hyrule Warriors origin! this chapter got deleted like three times because my dog decided to rub her paws over my keyboard while playing fetch. blame the inconsistencies on that, and not my terrible writing skills.

Chapter Text
The laboratory was a bright, blinding white. Red flashing lights blared along with alarms as guards in black uniforms ran through the halls. Scientists in white lab coats frantically combed through security protocols as the guards combed through rooms.
A pair of kids were hiding in the vents.
Their hearts were pounding through their chests as the guards ran past their hiding spot, scarcely daring to breathe.
The guards passed by the vent, ignoring it entirely. The kids let out twin sighs of relief. They waited for the guard to leave the room, shutting the door behind himself before they climbed out.
“Are you alright?” one asked, pushing her dark brown hair out of her eyes.
“I am uninjured.” the other answered, getting to his feet unsteadily.
“Not what I asked.”
“What else would you be asking?”
She blinked. “ We will… come back to that. We need to go get the others.”
“...Okay? I still don’t understand what you mean.”
“It doesn’t matter right now.”
The duo snuck toward the holding cells, freezing up when they saw it had been locked down.
“What do we do now?” the boy asked.
“Watch and learn.” The girl climbed on the boy’s shoulders, pulling off the vent grate and climbing in, the boy crawling after her.
“We’re going to be in so much trouble.”
“Not if we don’t get caught,” She kicked the opposite vent open and climbed out, startling the inhabitants of the room.
“Who’re you?” A scrappy looking boy in a purple hoodie glared at the duo that had entered the room with suspicion.
“I’m Artemis, and he doesn’t have a name. We’re breaking out of here. Are you coming?”
The boy with the purple hoodie blinked, staring suspiciously at the boy. “Who doesn’t have a name?”
She glared. “None of your business, that’s who. Are you coming or not?”
The boy looked sheepish. “oh.” He turned to look at the others in the room. “What do you all….”
“I don’t think we’re gonna get another chance, Ravio.” A girl with bright red hair spoke. “I think we should go.”
A twelve year old with strange flickering face-markings turned to scrutinize the duo. “And how do we know you’re telling the truth?”
“I don’t think we have another choice, Time.” Everyone turned to look at the girl in the corner, who looked… eerily like the boy that had come through the vents. “We have a chance to escape. I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna take it.”
Time looked incredibly put out, but relented nonetheless. “Why are you all so trusting? Fine, someone needs to go get the kid. Marin, could you?”
The red-haired girl nodded. “I can get him. What’s your vote, Ravio?”
The boy in the purple hoodie smiled, if not a little nervously. “If you are all going, I need to help you somehow. What’s the plan, Miss Artemis?”
A few minutes later, the group of kids were crawling through the vents, awkwardly half-carrying the two year old as they snuck through the laboratory.
Coming close to the end of the hallway, the kids started to climb out of the vent, only for a voice to make their blood freeze.
“What are you doing here, Prototype?” One of the scientists had found them. Her white hair was pulled up into a bun, and her lab coat was not secured properly. The kids looked away in disgust, and the boy froze.
Dr Cia was his least favorite scientist for a reason.
He stumbled, trying to get away, but she merely tsked, raising her hand over a bright red button. “You don’t want to do that, do you? If you run away, I’ll press this button, and then the guards will be here.”
The boy had turned very pale, backing away and shaking his head.
“See? Now go and take your nice friends back to their rooms and we can all forget this happened, okay?”
Time glared at her. “Fat chance, Lady. Let us go, and maybe we won’t kick your ass.”
She giggled. “Oooh, testy.”
He growled, and started to charge. She pushed him away, laughing with malice.
“ Stop .”
She froze.
The boy was glaring at her.
“Let us leave.”
She took her hand away from the button, staring blankly into the distance. Ravio stared at him.
“How did you do that?”
The boy stared at his hands. “I- I don’t know.”
Ravio was still staring at him with horror in his eyes. He started to say something, only to be interrupted by Artemis.
“Hey, we need to get going!” The kids snuck through the front door, only to be met with miles of sand in all directions.
There was a small collection of vehicles near the front. “Hey, don’t you know how to hotwire a car?” Someone asked. Ravio grinned, really for the first time.
“I do. Hey Linkle, wanna learn?”
“Yeah!”
4 minutes later, the kids were barrelling down the road in a hotwired government jeep, Ravio driving in a way that would get him pulled over were there cops on the road.
Artemis pulled her phone out with a grimace. “I didn't think about how to explain where I was during all of this to my parents. I have eight missed calls and thirty texts.”
Ravio grimaced. “You could say we kidnapped you?”
“No, that would just paint you in an even worse light.”
As they all argued on what to do, the boy felt more free than he had in… ever, actually.
He was a person now. He didn’t know what people did! What if he was expected to have opinions? He wasn’t sure what stress was, but right now he was definitely feeling it.
Linkle turned to look at the boy.
“I didn’t have a name until the others gave me one either. Do you have any ideas for one?”
The boy looked unsure. “Are… Are you sure I'm allowed to have one?” he was pretty sure he wasn’t.
“ Of course! I’ll punch anyone who says you shouldn’t. Do you have any suggestions or should we think up names until you decide you like one?”
“I’ll let you decide?”
She smiled, punching his arm with glee. “Marin, Help us pick out a name for the newbie!”
“I assume you mean the boy and not Artemis?”
“Duh. Get over here.”
She shifted in the front seat, turning to the duo. “Finn. Valor. Ashe. Korna. Warriors. Sa-”
“That one.”
“Warriors?”
“Yeah.” he looked up. “I like Warriors.”
“Warriors it is then!”
“Warsshhhhh!” the little kid exclaimed. Time grabbed his little hand.
“Yeah, that’s Wars! Say hi to Wars!”
“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiyaaaaaa Waaaaaarshh” the boy- Warriors waved unsurely at the toddler.
“Hi?” the toddler waved back, making little grabby hands.
Time glared. “That means he wants you to hold you, dumbass. Do you know how to hold a kid? Wait, nevermind. Obviously not. Here hold out your arms- no, lift up your elbow- there.”
At the end of the impromptu toddler holding lesson, Warriors was holding a happy little kid, who fell asleep on his shoulder almost instantly.
“Does… does the kid have a name?”
“Uhhhhhhhhhhhh” The entire car suddenly became uncomfortable. “Probably?”
“Do we give him one too?”
They all decided that was a good idea, but nobody could decide what a good name was for the kid.
“Achooooooooo!” The kid sneezed, a burst of wind blowing out from him, messing up everyone’s hair as the gust blew through the car.
“I guess we figured out the kid’s powers?”
The kid snuggled deeper into Warriors’s shirt, who was starting to loosen up, smiling softly at him.
“What if we called him Wind?”
There was a round of general agreement at that, and there was a bit of a lull as the kids all settled down.
“What are we going to do when we get back to civilization?”
The question came from Artemis, who was sitting up in the front with Marin and Ravio. “I mean I can just go back to my parents with a dumb excuse, but the scientists are gonna be looking for you.”
“I could probably go back to my dad,” Marin announced. “I could probably take someone with me too, but we can’t take everyone.
“I can take care of myself,” Time said, glaring at everyone.
Warriors, Linkle and Ravio looked at each other, unsure of what to do. They didn’t really have anywhere to go, and they didn’t want Wind to be the same way.
“Wind can go with Marin,” Ravio said. “He needs the stability the most.”
“But where does that leave you three?” Marin was concerned for her friends.
“I can take them with me,” Time mumbled. “It wouldn’t be too hard, I’ve got a ton of favors I can cash in.”
Artemis was unconvinced. “You’re twelve and I’m rich. Why don’t I buy a random apartment and you all can live there?”
In the end, they decided on Ravio going with Marin, and the other four getting a random apartment with Artemis's money.
A few months later
Someone was knocking on the door. With a smile, Warriors went to go let her in.
“Artemis! Nice to see you again!”
“Hey yourself, Warriors. Did you see the news?”
He laughed. “How could I not? Random Superheroes appearing out of nowhere aren’t exactly commonplace.”
“So I was thinking…”
“You want the Hyrule Warriors to form an alliance?”
She smiled at him. “How did you read my mind?”
“Practice.”
“Soooooo?” she asked. “What do you think?”
He hesitated. “We’ll wait a bit. If he just washes out, or proves to be a terrible person I don’t want to be affiliated with him.”
“That’s fair. A few months then?”
“Sure. A few months. We'll see if this Lionheart is all he's cracked up to be."
Notes:
It was a STRUGGLE to not use Warriors's and Wind's names until the end, . Constructive criticism both welcomed and encouraged! I cant shake the feeling I missed somebody (Midna I have a reason for so it's not her) so if anyone knows who it is pls let me know
Chapter 4: The 'death' of a hero and the birth of another
Summary:
The world watches the 'death' of a hero through social media
Notes:
I thought about how social media would react to First faking his death, and so I made this chapter
EDIT: Forgot to add a couple of posts

On the 7th anniversary of Lionheart’s death, the Demise copycat known as Ganondorf attempted to tear up the Downfall District, only to be stopped by a new hero. Everyone welcome the new hero Loftwing to Castletown!
[Image ID]: A person wearing a pair of aviator goggles and a bomber jacket over a jumpsuit is in the center of the image. A pair of bright red wings fill up most of the picture, extending outwards. His hand is outstretched, and he is beaming at the camera. [End ID]
Notes:
And we're finished! that's it for the Trifecta, but we havent seen the last of any of these heroes. I snuck in a Midna cameo because I thought the username was funny
