    Summary

Lady Enid managed two days in Camelot before the council composed a formal letter to Arthur questioning Lady Enid’s sanity, and by proxy, his own. [...]
Gwaine sat up and leaned in next to him on the grass, reading over Merlin’s shoulder. “See there, Lord Ellis claims she called him a toad.”
“She did not,” Merlin said and held up the two papers in front of him, “but I marked down the page. She said something about him ‘frogging around’ the issue and, ‘having no leg to stand on’, it was difficult to see how he could ‘jump to such conclusions’.”
Gwaine guffawed and laid down again, his armour clanking as he began to tug on the buckles. “So, she called him a legless toad.”
Merlin settled back against the tree. “I’m impressed Lord Ellis even caught it.”

Or: When Arthur invited Lady Enid to inspect Camelot, Merlin thought Arthur lost his mind, but when he lets her stay to wreak further havoc in Camelot, unveiling secrets, upsetting status quos and campaining for a Merlin's own political advancement - be it by marriage or by cunning alone - Merlin is sure Arthur has gone insane for good.
