Vampire OC Interview: Vincent Ardeleanu

Summary:

An interview with my vampire character Vincent Ardeleanu.

Notes:

I made this a number of years ago when looking for writing memes on DeviantArt that I could use for my characters. This was a vampire OC interview meme that I found. The creator has since deactivated their account, so the original template no longer exists. The only versions left are the ones I made and possibly other ones filled out by other people.

This is where my story idea was at at the time. I have developed it a bit since then and I have written numerous short stories, but things still remain relatively the same as the statements Vincent makes in this interview.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Hello, all and welcome to Gothic radio, home of all your Gothic and vampire needs! I'm your host, Ariella. Today, we have a/some very special guest!
Here with us today is/are a real, live vampire!
Please welcome Vincent Ardeleanu to the studio with us today!

Could you tell me a bit more about yourself? Maybe your age?

Vincent: Alright. Well, I just recently turned 17. I’m a high school junior.

Really? That's quite amazing!

Vincent: You think so? My classmates are the same age.

NOW! Let us head to the interesting stuff, shall we?

Vincent: Sure. Sounds like it will be fun.

What happens to you in sunlight? Do you sparkle?!

Vincent: Um, no. I’m not made of glitter. My powers just weaken.

Brilliant! What about holy water?

Vincent: What about it? I’m more of a science person. I’m not into that superstitious stuff.

And crosses?

Vincent: Not particularly religious either.

GARLIC?!

Vincent: Why are you so loud?! What about garlic? It does smell. Though, I’ve read that it has great nutritional value. It’s something else to look into as part of my human studies.

Do you sleep? And do you have to be in the "earth you were buried in?"

Vincent: I wasn’t buried. I’m right here. I do sleep, though I don’t need to very often. I always get enough to keep my brain and body in top shape.

Wow... What's your sexual orientation?

Vincent: Heterosexual, though I prefer studying and performing science experiments to going on dates.

Humans or other vampires? Or both?

Vincent: Oh! Humans! They’re such a fantastic field of study and I love when I can get one to be a subject of observation and experimentation. That’s how I met my best friend, David. He was the first new human to our school in a while and, luckily, he was assigned to the same homeroom as me. When I found out he was a human, I immediately jumped at the chance to introduce myself to him and get to know him a little so that I could use him for my studies. We actually got to know each other and became good friends, though I still use him as a test subject when I get a new idea. I love science and want to make as big a contribution to it as I can. I also love learning new things and take any chance I get to do that.

What was your favorite period in time?

Vincent: Hmm. I don’t think I have one. Perhaps now, as we’re starting to slowly break down the barriers between humans and supernatural beings. Perhaps, one day we’ll be able to freely move between each other’s world.

Awesome! Why?

Vincent: Well, to see if everyone can get along, of course. Though, a more selfish reason is so that I’ll have a much greater and easier access to the human world and I’ll be able to acquire a much larger amount of scientific data on humans and human interactions.

What's your favorite style to dress in?

Vincent: My outfits are all pretty much the same. I like wearing a white dress shirt with either short sleeves or the sleeves rolled up along with a black necktie and black dress pants. David says I could put a little more variety in my wardrobe, so I’ve gotten a few different coloured shirts and ties. I still prefer the white shirts and black ties though. I don’t care what anyone says. Neckties are cool and stylish, and I love wearing them.

Do you like being a vampire?

Vincent: I have to say, it does have its advantages. I would like to see what it feels like to be a human, even if for just a day or so. It’s too bad human transformation spells are strictly prohibited, or I’d ask one of the city’s witches if they could temporarily transform me. I do hear that transformation spells are very dangerous and can be disastrous if they are messed up. Not sure if it would be worth it. I’ll just stick to my observations on human test subjects.

I think I would... But, anyway, thank you very much for coming in to speak with us! Any last words to say to our listeners?

Vincent: Well, you’re welcome. Thank you for inviting me. As for last words…hmm…Well, if there are any humans out there who want to contribute to the furthering of knowledge and science, I am looking for more test subjects to help expand my research. If I can get more people, I can acquire a much larger amount of observations on the human condition, both in a natural setting and in a laboratory environment being subjected to various tests. Please consider. Oh, yeah. And neckties are cool. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
