Asahi tries not to linger on the idea that his only summer training camp will be his last, focusing instead on the pride that comes with knowing that he's got a team with new, good blood in their veins, a team that will make a name for themselves, even after he's had his turn.

It's not Nishinoya's fault. It doesn't matter how nice he is to others, it doesn't matter how much of himself he gives, he'll end up with a busted lip and a concussion for it one way or another. Every third week is a trip to the nurse's office, whether it be for a bumped shoulder in the hallway, or a look in the eye that lingers just an instant too long, he pays the price for these ridiculous trespasses in blood. And the reputation he's built from taking so many batterings just keeps them coming. He's tried so many times to correct it, to clean up his name, but somehow it always finds its way back. The troublemaker label. The scent of danger. The anxious glances his way.

He shouldn't be feeling relieved that Nishinoya doesn't have a backup date. Shimizu will surely reject him, and he'll go to the banquet unpaired. Asahi feels a deep shame matched only by the excitement that blooms in his chest and the small smile that spreads on his lips; if Nishinoya doesn't have a date, that means they can hang out together until it's formally acceptable to hightail it out of there. They can get noodles somewhere, or talk for hours under the night sky, or Asahi can invite him to stay overnight at his house... He shouldn't be happy that his friend is about to be rejected by the subject of his affection. He isn't happy. But he'd be lying to himself if it doesn't give him a little relief. The idea of Nishinoya with someone else at the banquet is almost too much to bear.

Summary
It was like being haunted by a fucking specter. Noya'd pick up a pencil, and there he would be. Lines of graphite on paper, shaping a guy plucking flowers or pruning some carnations. The same guy, every time. A total stranger, but out he'd pop like a very boring Kinder Surprise.
Noya wasn't sure what kind of compulsion this was supposed to be, but at least the guy was hot.

“Did you know that it’s illegal to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower at night?” Noya asks Suga, as they stare at the necklaces and earrings lined up behind the glass walls of the jewelry store. “Apparently the lights are an artwork, and they’re copyrighted so you can’t take pictures and post them on social media.”
Suga bursts into laughter. “Is this why you want to go there? To take illegal pictures?”
Noya pumps his fist. “Of course!”

Or, Nishinoya wants to take illegal pictures of the Eiffel Tower, and Asahi tries his best to stop his boyfriend from committing a crime, but he's not good at it. Domesticity and hilarity ensue. An engagement in front of the Eiffel Tower happens....just kidding! Unless...? -

He was short, and younger than the customers Asahi was used to dealing with, probably even younger than Asahi. Actually, he looked a little too young for the sleeves of tattoos cascading down his arms and the piercing on his lips. Asahi found himself staring, partially because it was unusual for the store but also--well, Asahi had always had a thing for tattoos, and he couldn’t deny that this guy looked good with his.
The man pushed his sunglasses up to his forehead, past the bleached bangs that threatened to spill into his eyes, and laughed. “See something you like?”
OR asahi gets a strange customer, and is not disappointed with how things go.

“Ah, I think this is it,” says Asahi when they reach their room. He takes in the sight of it, the frown on his face creasing his already pinched forehead even more. Judging from the simple yet beautiful decor characteristic of traditional Japanese design, the size of the room and the view of the forest and mountains beyond their window, this room is definitely out of their budget. Someone is definitely going to get fired for this, Asahi thinks as he looks for a place to put his bag down, for practically giving away such an expensive room.
“They were not kidding about the bed,” remarks Nishinoya when they find themselves in the sleeping area of the room.
