Fixing his tie, he looks up and tilts his head to stare back at the explosive man. He clears his throat, and laced with venom and spite, he spits out a retort.

Summary
In some universes, Izuku Midoriya's dream came true when All Might gave him One for All. He was finally on a level playing field with everyone else, and he ran forward into the future without looking back, aiming to become the next Symbol of Peace. This was not one of those universes.
In other universes, Izuku Midoriya was never given One for All. Maybe he never encountered the sludge villain a second time. Maybe All Might didn't track him down afterward. Whatever the cause, Izuku Midoriya remained quirkless. In some of those universes, he became a villain, disenfranchised with the society that had always beat him down. While those universes were closer to this one, this was not one of them either.
In this universe, Izuku Midoriya still received One for All, but he never forgot what it meant to be quirkless. He never forgot the way that those who were deemed "lesser" were treated. Izuku Midoriya was made to help people. When he realized that the heroes he'd admired for his entire life would never help people like him, not if it meant giving up their power, well...
The road to Hell was paved with good intentions. At least Izuku wasn't walking it alone.

"Steve Harrington wants to be around me as little as possible, I see how it is," he replies with a smile, wiping a fake tear from his eye.
"Eddie Munson AND history homework? Can you blame me?" Steve returns the sarcasm, which Eddie didn't expect. Usually, when he messes with people like Steve, they shoot him an annoyed glance or straight up ignore him, which is kind of the response he’s generally going for anyway; he finds their reactions amusing and he supposed if he annoyed Steve enough in the first few minutes of talking, there would be more chance of Steve doing the whole project without him. However, this simple reaction changed his plans completely. Now, for some reason, Eddie Munson wanted to befriend Steve Harrington.
