Summary
Jason's wisdom teeth grew back after the Lazarus Pit. Annoying, but fixable with a quick trip to the oral surgeon.
Running into Bruce and Tim at said oral surgeon's office? Less fixable.
Jason is not mentally prepared for this confrontation. Not now. Not when he tortured the replacement only two months ago. Not when Batman chose Joker instead of him.

Alfred was still working away at stitching Tim up. Tim looked a little pale and sweaty, but he was glancing over at Jason with a look that was a mixture of concern and confusion. Bruce was standing stock-still, seemingly staring off into space.

“It is not for my sake Jay.” he finally says and smiles sadly. Jason does not understand. “Because there is a small little detail you’re forgetting and that detail changed everything.”
“Oh yeah, and what is that?”
Dick holds his gaze as he says. “You died.”
Takes place after the events of "Everyone hates a tall child" but can be read regardless. Dick learns of the batarang incident.
