Summary

Sticky fingers cleaned up, twenty minutes later, on their feet again, energy bubbling, Izuku lets Eri climb him, clambering up his hip, his shoulders, swinging briefly from his elbow to grab onto his back. Her occasional parkour lessons with Aizawa-sensei are very much showing.
Then she's wriggling back around to be hanging from the front of his shoulder, pressed against his chest, and Izuku can't help but grin down at her, looping an arm below her butt to keep her solidly in place,
"Hey, want to see your Dad?" There's a gleam of mischief to her then, a hint of her Dad's Cheshire grin,
"Yes!" And Izuku doesn't know it, but there's an edge of that same demented sharpness to his own expression as he beams at his teacher,
"Sensei, catch!"

(Izuku and Katsuki haven't always had a good relationship, but it's solidly back in the realms of healthy now, something very much proved when Hisashi turns up again and Izuku just needs to feel safe. Katsuki gives him that.)

Izuku is slowly falling into something like a vigilante, and Eraserhead is so often there, yet he is never unkind, never pushy, never judgemental.He is just there, and he begins to feel safe.

Izuku knows what it is to be scared of a man.
He knows what it is to stare up at broad shoulders and a square jaw and clenched fists, and fear. To know that there is a promise of violence, of cruelty, of rejection, and that there is no way to protect himself from that, nothing that he can do, or not do, to change that, except possibly not exist at all.
Which is why it is odd, now, not to be scared.
Izuku should be scared, by all rights. Yet with Eraserhead, he so often isn't, now, for better or worse. No, he might even be beginning to trust the hero.

Summary
The class have Izuku back and safe once again, albeit still very much recovering from the damage dealt during his kidnapping, and it's a bittersweet thing.
At least he's healing and becoming himself again, slowly but surely.~~~
Izuku shifts, a little, twisting slightly, hands twitching up from his sides, to clutch at his chest, eyes still closed, whining under his breath, a wordless ache of a thing.
"You're safe, Kale-Boy. We're all safe." Hitoshi keeps his tone low and gentle, the way he would talk to coax a stray cat to trust him. It's enough to have Izuku screwing his face up, curling into himself. It's blatantly defensive. Scared, even.
(This is a follow-up Whumptober fic to my earlier one: Lost To White Walls (Akin To Sunshine Lost To Clouds) and whilst this will work without it, it will make far more sense with it!)

Everything hurts more, all of a sudden.
"Woah, kiddo, you're alright, you're safe, I'm sorry but I have to put you down to be able to help you-"
As though a bubble has burst, there is noise and agony and Izuku doesn't even really realise that he's writhing with it all, trying to get away, to get safe, to find that warmth again, before there are hands upon him, hot and kind and there, grasping at his shoulders in a way that should maybe hurt but honestly just helps. It feels solid.Izuku leans into it, shamelessly, thoughtlessly, and calms down without quite realising it.
