“But there must be trust," Severus insisted. "A bond… or some sort of relationship between mentor and pupil for Occlumency to be taught correctly! The only bond the brat and I share is one of mutual loathing.”
“Now, Severus, you are an adult and a Hogwarts professor. Surely, you can find a way to mend broken bridges.”
Broken bridges? Broken bridges? There had never been a "bridge" to begin with! Not with Potter, the carbon copy of his school bully, who spoke, acted, believed himself so superior to anyone else he might as well be the second coming of his father. There had always only been damp planks slogging down a river which separated them on two opposite banks. No bridge to speak of.

Summary
After missing several Order meetings, Severus reappears 13 days later, injured and trapped Occluding. Sirius is tasked with Healing the man.
Sirius was not expecting himself to question his views about his childhood enemy, let alone fall for him. Severus does not make it easy for him. He vows to rescue Severus from the Occlumency induced wall he can't escape from by himself, sparking off a relationship that ends up saving Sirius from his own prisons at high price for Severus.
A story that centralises on Order work if Severus was no longer able to be a spy.

In this world, the prophecy is slightly different. It tells of a boy born at the start of June, and for this, there is only boy that the Dark Lord knows of, and it is a boy born of two of his followers.
OR: Regulus and Severus plot to destroy all of Voldemort's horcruxes. Narcissa and Lucius join because they do not take threats to their son lightly. Bellatrix joins because she does not take threats to the Black Family lightly.
