Between the events of How to Train your Dragon 1 and 2, in the time between Race to the Edge and Defenders of Berk, Hiccup and the Gang chase, and eventually capture, a strange rogue dragon rider who was NOT, in fact, setting Dragon traps.

Summary

When given a choice between all he's ever known, and the wilderness beyond it, Hiccup chooses the latter. Hiccup, Fishlegs, and Camicazi have managed to escape the American Dream 2 but are now faced with the impossible task of finding their way back to Berk with nothing but two hunting dragons, a table, and a boy good at plans who has a head wound. The task becomes even more impossible when the troop of dragon riders who rescue them turn out to be strangely familiar... and prove to be evidence that they are less of an ocean away from home and more of an entire different dimension away from the Barbaric Archipelago they know and love.
One thing is for sure: If they ever get back home they certainly deserve to be declared the winners of that swimming race.
