Summary
They say grief comes in stages: a riptide of denial, a hurricane of anger. Bargaining, depression, acceptance. They can come in any order, but Eliot hadn’t felt a single one. All he could feel was the humming, and the longing. And something deep in every chamber of his heart that told him Quentin wasn’t gone.
Or, the one where Eliot is sorta Icarus and Quentin is sorta the sun.

Summary
King Quentin seems to take their silence for discomfort and frowns guiltily. "Sorry, there's probably more important stuff I should be asking," he mumbles, fidgeting with his sleeve. "Is there, um, a cure for cancer? Who's the president?"
Eliot grimaces, and can practically feel the others doing the same.
"Ask about Zunes again," Penny says.
or: In order to take his rightful place as High King of Fillory, Eliot first has to meet the current king in Whitespire - King Quentin, who's been waiting for the High King to arrive in Fillory since he first ended up there himself.

Summary
They hadn’t been in the castle a day when it was announced that Eliot was expected to marry. Some superstition about an ancient curse on the throne that only marriage could break. Eliot’s High Council seemed entirely unwilling to chance it, even if it definitely sounded like bullshit. It could be anyone of his choosing, but no High King in the history of Fillory had reigned unmarried for long.

Summary
His secret is out. His real name isn't Sir El von Waugh, who hails from Braekenbillzen. He's not a knight at all. He's just a peasant. One who lied and cheated his way into competing in dozens of tournaments, just to chase after his dreams that a man can change his stars. But now, there's nothing left for him to do, except stand in the city square, locked in the stockade, and await the judgement of those he deceived. Eliot Waugh is ready for whatever hardship may come. He's more than used to it. Until the worst happens, and his friends show up to his defense, knowing full well that saving him might cost them their own lives.

Summary
Before everything went to shit, if someone stuck a slice of Everything Pizza in his hands, Q’d happily claim he was getting every food group in one bite and be done with it. But a breakthrough was in there, somewhere. Eliot just had to find it. He had to. This was Quentin. They didn’t bring him back just to wallow in a tasteless hell for the rest of his life. And…shit…maybe, just fucking maybe, “being brave” could get back on the table.
-Or-
All of Quentin's senses go haywire when he's brought back to life. After months of getting everything down to a manageable level, Eliot decides to take big risk. He cooks his feelings on a professional level, planning a five-course meal in the hopes of doing something nice for the two of them, and to see if he and Quentin can have a second chance at another fifty years. Written for The Magicians Monthly Prompt Challenge December: Blindfold
“I don’t think I’m into this,” Quentin says, and there’s something in his voice that catches Eliot’s interest. Something almost pleading. Like he wants to be told he’s wrong.
“Oh, honey,” Eliot says, absolutely and totally failing to avoid using his Daddy voice because this guy is just– He’s just so fucking cute. “Just because you don’t want to tie up your girlfriend doesn’t mean you can’t make use of the toys. Have you ever thought about trying it the other way around?”

Summary
Eliot gasped. The moment lasted a fraction of a second, less than the space of a single breath, but to Eliot’s skin it felt like an eternity. Quentin’s hand pressed to his arm in passing, and every cell in Eliot’s body lit up like the Fourth of July.
