Spider-Man acts like a Spider
Spider-Man has a higher stage of metamorphosis than canon. For example:
- Organic webshooters
- Higher sensitivity
- Fangs
- More limbs
- No thermoregulation
- Purring (like wolf spiders)
- An arachnid relationship towards other spider people(Note: Other canon spider people than Peter Parker can be included aswell! Every type of Spider-Man Franchise is allowed!)
(Update 31/07/2026: Well, after the release of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, Peter has CANONICALLY a higher stage of metamorphosis, though it won’t change the conditions of this collection. More so, there will be more content I can’t wait to add~)

“What is it?” Jean asked, walking up beside him slowly only for Peter to turn and point to his mouth, specifically his teeth.
His teeth which now sported elongated canines.
…He had fangs.
Peter had fangs!
“...Ok, before I jump to any conclusion, you didn’t go to sleep wearing prosthetic fangs did you?”
Peter’s incredulous look answered that question.

Summary
An out-of-season snowstorm catches New York’s Spider-Men off guard. What begins as a routine patrol ends with Peter and Miles facing something that goes far beyond the cold: instincts, reactions they can’t fully explain, and a bond that starts to change in unexpected ways.
Latency is a collection of fragments where the Spider-Sense sharpens, the body moves before the mind can follow, and the connection between both Spider-Men evolves in unpredictable directions. There’s no straight line—only moments suspended between calm and chaos, between duty and instinct.
The original version of this story is written in Spanish, but I wanted to share it in English as well. English chapters will be uploaded two at a time, so the Spanish version will update first.
Updates will be sporadic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going, but I’m completely incapable of writing short stories, so knowing myself, a plot will probably show up eventually. Or maybe—who knows?—this could be the first time I actually finish one. Hope’s the last thing to go, after all.
