Deceit. Pride. Slander. Envy. Murder, even.
Dio Brando was guilty of (or at least responsible for) such evils, even at the tender age of twelve when he took his father’s life. Enter Jonathan Joestar, the son of the man who welcomes the orphaned child as a new member of the Joestar family. He is Dio’s opposite in every way possible, and in order to succeed in his wicked ways, the boy knows Jonathan must be ruined and removed. Although it wasn’t quite as simple as needing to ruin Jonathan; Dio wanted to ruin Jonathan. Yet if he took the time to really address it, Dio would realize that Jonathan Joestar was of similar spirit to his mother. Although JoJo was much more resilient, there were similarities in their clean and adoring eyes; they wore the same tender and coy smile when addressing those they loved.
Dio feels the bile rise up in his throat. He didn’t fully understand it himself. After all, he had an intrinsic hunger to tear Jonathan apart and take the whole world away from him. He would take the world away from him. Even if coveting it threatened to devour what little humanity he had. -

Summary
Seven years after her father and son lost their lives defeating Dio, it can safely be said that Holly has rallied. Her patchwork family is thriving, flourishing around her like a rambling, well-tended garden, and although her stand is of little use to her, the Speedwagon Foundation has found ways of putting it to use; she's become well-acquainted with its intricacies. There’s little, she feels, that could faze her anymore.
Even when, one bittersweet April morning, her closest family friends close the book on their lives in Tokyo and move away, she feels only a distant melancholy, a void mitigated somewhat by the new entry in her address book, by the promise to see-again-soon. Polnareff will miss them more, she’s sure. Facilitating his relationship with Kakyoin’s family has been one of her proudest accomplishments to date. It’s been good for them all, she reminds herself that night, to watch one another move on.
The next afternoon, however, she meets a boy. And her family expands, and the promise shatters, and something begins to murmur forebodingly beneath her carefully tended peace.
