Into the crowd of the Great Hall or the sweeping staircases to the library, her dens of refuge, while his rotunda became her hunting ground.
Solas was unaccustomed to the role of prey. Rather the snarling monster of children's dreams, the role of destroyer was more often his, a predator that struck from the shadow. In yet another way, Lavellan left him off guard, uneasy with the reversal of power.
